Excellent Italian and Italian kissed cooking culled from the owners' family archives and travel jaunts recreated as a well worn, well-loved and heavily textured vintage tavern/trattoria experience where heavy upcyling targets informed and shaped this one-of-a-kind design that's both well worn, comfortable, interestingly textured and friendly. Curated eclectic soundtrack to accompany an old school sworn menu replete with vintage Italian tavern and home cooked rustic flavours - fresh traditional pastas of Roman, Umbrian and Tuscan tradition, a quality grill offering of top notch beef, lamb, quail, chicken, fish and pork. During the Ontario-wide stay at home order (when dining in wasn't available in restaurants), we ordered their take home family bundle special (for four), which included two pepperoni pizzas, gnocchi, meatballs, and potato wedges for $59.95. It was delicious! There were also great options if...you wanted to add items to this special, such as a Caesar salad, wine, wings, or additional pizzas, meatballs or gnocchi. I was super impressed with the efficiency of placing our order and picking it up. The staff was fantastic and even offered to help me carry my order to the car. The owner was in the foyer and thanked me, telling me how much they appreciated our support. We've eaten here often over the years and have never been disappointed.More

This place is remarkable and once you dine here you will want to come back. Service is friendly and staff go the extra mile, tables are a bit close to one other, however it works. Menu has a lot of choice and is amazing

Our first visit here tonight. Wow, terrific Italian food. Husband had the ribs. He said they were the best ever and loved the sides too. I had the tagliatelle salciccia. It was delicious and the Caesar salad was also. Server was great! The only drawback...was the volume. It was difficult to hear each other or the server, but we will definitely return when in the area. Thanks so much!More

Where to start? We were visiting Sudbury for the first time and had walked into town from our hotel (Travelway Inn on Paris Street). I checked trip advisor for good restaurants and found RIB, it was close so we thought we’d give it a try....So glad we did. We were there for an early dinner so things were quiet, the reception was very friendly and efficient and we were quickly shown to our table. Always a good start. Drink orders were taken and delivered quickly and we took time to read the menu. It takes time because it has so many choices and great sounding options. It was hard to choose. In the end we had the Sky Valley Bruschetta and the Eggplant Parmesan. Main course was tagliatelle salsiccia and bucatini with zucchini. All of the food was excellent. Served fresh and hot, very tasty and good sized portions. Didn’t think I would have room for dessert but the wildberry tart was hard to resist. The wine list was reasonable -choice and price so the meal was a real success. Really good value for money. Service was outstanding. Our server, Dana, was wonderful. Knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without being intrusive and very friendly. She really added to our enjoyment of the evening. We will definitely make a point of eating here again when we are passing through.More

We happened to find this place on Google when we were visiting Sudbury this Summer from the GTA area and are we ever happy we did. We ended up eating here not once but TWO NIGHTS in a row!! The food was absolutely divine! Highly,...highly, highly recommend this place. The place felt very safe with COVID-19 measures in place. The Chef/Owner truly cares about his guests experiences and you can taste the passion he has for cooking in every bite you take. If you have the chance to go to this restaurant speak with Rob to create you a magical, out of this world dining experience. He will recommend dishes that pair so well together and curate something for every person on the table. We had a pescatarian and a shellfish allergy at our table, he managed to blow every dish out of the water. We were left speechless after every bite. To name some of the incredible dishes we enjoyed: - Deep Woods Brushetta - Crispy Oyster Mushrooms - Crispy Beans - Nonna’s Meatballs - Parmigiana Eggplant - Sizzling Lamchops - pasta which I forgot the name of (pictures below) - dessert (didn’t get the name of but also pictured below) Needless to say, go eat here! We are so grateful to have found this restaurant. Our favourite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. We would drive 4 hours from Toronto just to eat here it was THAT GOOD! Thanks for Respect is Burning Staff for such a memorable experience!More

We were driving through Sudbury and were looking for a decent meal and found Respect is Burning on line. Ordered the fried mushroom salad (lovely), the roasted cauliflower (super simple yet truly delicious) and the blackened salmon. Everything was really tasty, the waitstaff was attentive,...and the Aperol spritz was perfect.More

The pizza options were amazing and our choices were excellent. You really should try the gnocchi appetizer....it was incredible - so flavourful and unlike anything I’ve ever had. The place is very noisy....our only negative comment. Great experience. I would encourage people to make a...reservation...we were just lucky and hit a cancellation.More
