Tried this place for a late lunch. We had two different dishes and asked for 4/10 in their scale (based on how spicy I usually eat food elsewhere). As other people have said before, their scale is way off. The food was way too hot...and barely eadible. Otherwise the food is just ok: good but not spectacular. Kind of the food I could cook at home if I wanted (I am more or less a ‘level 1’ cook). Part of the pleasure of eating out is the experience but the setup is rather bare and they have a very large monitor playing music videos. I do not mind the music at all (volume was reasonable) but there is no need to have videos in restaurants. Copying the worst aspects of sports bars is not good for this type of place.More
we were a large group and they were quite accomodating, although they are conscious that, since we were not South Asian, that our tolerance of spice heat may be different, we tried mild, but it was still a little too spicy for those in our...group to handle as some in our group could not handle it (this is NOT a complaint, please try the food regardless) as those that could handle spice thoroughly enjoyed it.More
I’ve been to many Indian restaurants but this was something different. Food was like home! Didn’t feel any heartburn or anything which I usually get after eating in some of the restaurants. They use the perfect amount of spices and flavours which is awesome. Would...definitely be back.....More
This restaurant takes forever to prepare orders be it dine in or take out. My record was 1 hour and 30 mins! It's no wonder that the restaurant pushes everyone to eat from the buffet aisle, that way no one has to work! Tonight I...ordered take out dinner through doordash, and my dasher showed up to the store only to find out they haven't even prepared my order. He gave up on waiting for my order after 45 mins and declined the job entirely. I am both surprised and furious at how little respect this restaurant gives it's customers. It seems this business is a joke to them. Personally I am quite happy to see new Indian/Pakistani restaurants appearing in Sudbury. It's time for some new blood.More
I visited Northern Ontario including city of Sudbury where i found a very nice restaurant ‘Tandoori Taste’ in downtown which has variety of different food and really very tasty food.
I am really impress with customer service and cleanliness. I would suggest to try this...restaurant food if you are going to Sudbury.More
Great Staff, best fresh Indian/Pakistani food. My family love the real taste of our own tandoori dishes. No comparison when it comes to tandoori chicken and tandoori fish. My little son is crazy about it’s tandoori naan.
I couldn’t find such fresh Indian/Pakistani food in...the North.
If you really want to taste Indian/Pakistani food then you must visit Tandoori Tastes Restaurant at 96 Larch Street, downtown SudburyMore
Not only the worst Indian food I have ever had, but the worst meal I have ever ordered from anywhere....ever. We asked for zero spice and our Korma and butter chicken was spicy to the point it was inedible. The sauce was like water and...the service was probably worse than the food. We told them that the food was mostly inedible however they still took 100% of the bill. I wouldn't eat at this restaurant if it was free and I was starving. Genuinely the worst resteraunt experience ever.More
We ordered the student chicken biryani, chilli paneer and chicken tikka masala. They were all terrible. I don't like writing negative reviews but my god the food looked like it was prepared by a complete foreigner who has never consumed Pakistani or Indian food.
The...biryani looked as if it was chicken that was cooked separately and tossed into the rice. There was no flavour throughout the dish. A proper biryani should be exploding with flavours but you could tell it wasn't cooked together.
They took a long time to make the food so we were excited to try it. Sadly it was a huge disappointment. We're spoiled with food options in Toronto but given the fact that they have actual Indian people in the kitchen, it was a quite bad.
Summary, if you're new to Indian food, I'm sure it'll be fine. If you know Indian food, then stay away.More
