Delicious Italian food!

Delicious Italian food! It’s beautiful inside, and has a fine dining set up. Went here after undergoing a class for advanced life support so I was dressed in casual clothes with my husband, wearing a hoodie and runners, but they didn’t mind, we were still treated fairly! I want to talk about their service first because it was phenomenal! Our server was very attentive to us, we had the best service! We only booked for 5pm to 7pm as they had a busy Friday night with lots of reservations, and we enjoyed our meal so much that we have overlooked the time. Our server was very polite to remind us of the time, it was already 7:30, she didn’t rush us, and we are at coffee and dessert already, but she let us finish our coffee, even though we knew that they were all pressured with time and with other people waiting who also had reservations. We even had an accident of spilling my husband’s coffee towards the end, and they were still so nice to have wiped it down for us, and were concerned if my husband’s clothes got wet. The food was delicious. We ordered some seafood pasta. The sauces were really good and creamy, they had lots of meat and they didn’t cheap out on the ingredients. The wait for food may take quite a bit longer, but they took their time to prepare such fresh and delicious dishes. We were served with some bread while waiting. We had the lemon cheesecake meringue and it was humongous, I’m glad I and my husband decided to share it. The coffee was awesome too, I got the cappuccino and it was really good coffee, not bitter at all, and it did woke me up and gave me a boost! Parking space is ample, and the location (Waverley) is in a nice end of the city! We will definitely go back, and the servers and chef/cooks deserve a reward!

Excellent family owned restaurant

I have been frequenting Bellissimo fairly regularly since the spring of 2020, after hearing of the place from a friend. The food is consistently excellent across the menu; I've tried most of the items they offer since I first went there. Of particular note (to me, anyway) is the Agnello (lamb shank) with gnocchi; it is delicious. They make a very nice caesar salad, and the Cozze (mussels) are great as well. The lobster mac and cheese is surprisingly good, as is the Melanzana Parmagiana (eggplant). If Italian food is what you're looking for you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service has always been pleasant and efficient and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable in the restaurant (though obviously closed for dine in due to the current state of the pandemic). They offer contact less ordering and pickup for the moment, and delivery within a reasonable area.

Jam-packed on any night, especially Saturday night, requiring a reservation. Our group consisted of regulars but for some reason we were seated in the bar and not the dining room. The bar had 2 TV's which had the Bombers and Jets playing respectively on each of the screens, so those who were there to watch the game, were loud and not very respectful of those who were there to eat. Varied menu consisting of traditional Italian dishes. Our waiter was especially attentive (Manny) with a great sense of humor & lots of advice on what to order. Our group of 5 enjoyed some lobster Mac & cheese, the gnocchi and butternut squash pasta in sage butter sauce. Our table was pretty crowded in the small bar area. If I were to return, I'd insist on having a table in the dining room. On the pricey side.

No Gluten-free Menu

Our server was Jennifer and although she was friendly, it was very hard to hear her as the restaurant was very loud. They gave no gluten free menu even though on their website they pride themselves as being a gluten free restaurant. When asked about gluten free options, she just pointed on some items on regular menu stating what they can make gluten free. She’s basically in your face pointing. Normally that would be okay, but during these times in a pandemic, it’s not acceptable. For the prices that are charged you’d think they’d have a separate gluten free menu. Food took a long time to come out and portions were small. Won’t be back.

Fantastic Food & Service!

I wanted to order a pre-Christmas meal for relatives living in Winnipeg (I live in Ontario) and stumbled upon Bellissimo's. I emailed the owner and he was very nice and made sure the order went through and was delivered on time. My relatives loved it! Portions were generous and they said the food tasted amazing. From the photos they sent I agree it looked pretty awesome. Will order from them again. Thanks for your help Greg!

As Good as Last Visit Two Years ago

It has been a couple of years since I last reviewed Beillissimo's. and it was as good as the last time. We had a reservation for Friday night. We arrived, wre greet and seated promptly. The whole process was professional. We ordered a pre dinner wine and it too was well presented. Fresh, warm, homemade buns arrived shortly thereafter. The three in my party ordered different entrees and, as the menu said, prepared fresh so it would be some time for us to linger over wine and good conversation. Our server was extremely well versed in the menu and in service to our table. We all agreed that the food was nicely prepared and tasty. And we all agreed that we would return. For our group that is a high recommendation.

Nice Visit with Terrific Service

Recently visited with friends and enjoyed a nice evening. Friendly hosts greet you upon arrival and get you seated. Thereafter, attentive waitstaff provide terrific service throughout the evening without being overly intrusive. Our table ordered the lobster ravioli and bianco pizza, which were very good. I ordered a basic pasta dish of spaghetti with tomato sauce, which was mediocre (I’m just used to a more authentic tasting Italian sauce for pasta). We also enjoyed the warm bread rolls with balsamic/olive oil for dipping. There is a nice variety of items on the menu, including a selection of pizzas. There is also a reasonable wine list. We went with a safe Chianti, which was a perfect pairing for our dinner selections. All in all, it was a nice evening.

First visit to a Restaurant in the Covid Age

My wife and I arrived around 6 on a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. We were seated immediately. They still had the hanging plexiglass shields between the tables. The service was above normal. We both ordered the Lemon Veal, which was very good in both taste and quantity. The meal came promptly. Although the wine list is limited, we were able to find a wine that we liked. For dessert, I ordered the carrot cake which is actually a combination of a carrot & spice cake, both of which I like. It was good but I think a regular carrot cake would have been better. This is a restaurant that we have always enjoyed visiting.

Went for dinner to Bellissimo in Quesada for dinner last night. Staff were amazing really welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing my Husband and Daughter both had the salmon and said it was delicious. I had the most amazing Gluten free pizza was very tasty as being ceoliac its hard to get a good Gluten free pizza, so thank you, I was so stuffed I didn't have room for Dessert, but my daughter said the white choc cheesecake was the best she had ever tasted. They also done mocktails.Will definitely be back

Used to be our "go-to", not anymore

We used to love this restaurant but now instead of our "go-to" place to eat we will be looking at other options. Something has happened over the years and the attention to detail is not the same. The last couple of orders we ordered to go and they were incorrect. Something was missing even when we specifically asked before leaving the restaurant which is super frustrating (plus it was for a special occation) Maybe they are too busy now to properly check the orders before sending them home with the customer?

This was my 4th visit to this restaurant and the food and service was always good. This time however, we felt rushed to leave. It was Xmas celebration with 6 friends. We had a reservation and at no time during our meal it was mentioned that we had a 2 hours limited. It was slow to get all of our dishes and right after our dessert we were ask to leave because they had another reservation. They then started to clean up the table while we still sitting. We all felt really rushed, I know this is a busy place, however it would have been nice to mention to us at the beginning of our meal that there is a 2 hr maximum time limited.

Great place. Varied menu, which has all the traditional favorites and other tastes for the people who like to try something different. I had Pollo (can't spell the last word) with the noodles and it was marvelous. Grandson just had a cheese pizza. Definitely worth a look. Restaurant was packed. Bumped into some neighbors who said they come there often and always have had a great experience.

What a wonderful dinner my family had this month. Service was wonderfully and support staff too. The food was once again outstanding. First time having the bolognese Pappardelle dish and oh my it was outstanding. The noodles were so tender. Another dish in the group first time having Brodetto di pesce which apparently fabulous. Ceasar salad always ordered and did not disappoint. We all would order the dishes we had. Always a wonderful time having a meal there every year. Can’t wait for the next time.

Came here in December to celebrate a friends birthday and we all had such a great time. I had made a reservation a few weeks in advance and I'm glad we had one because it was packed full when we arrived. It did take a little for our table to be ready but they were quick to turn it around for us. Considering the restaurant was full, we had excellent service the whole time from both our server and other wait staff who just came throughout the evening to fill our water glasses. We ordered various dishes from the menu and we each ranted and raved about how good they were. I personally had the Pollo Prosciutto pasta and it was incredible; portions were generous we each took leftovers home as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening celebrating our friend! Can't wait to return! :)

Service is awesome. Friendly wait staff. Portions are huge. Taking home most of our meal. But thats ok, because the food is delicious. We had the veal and lasgna. Both were very good. We also had the roasted pepper, tomato and feta soup. Amazing. Will definitely go back
