We walked across the street from our room at the Fort Gary Hotel to enjoy a lovely anniversary dinner at The Keg patio. The food and service was wonderful and the warm evening weather which included no bugs was such a delight especially after our Covid 19 drought of not being able to dine in any restaurants. The Keg was part of our anniversary celebration. We have always enjoyed the keg since the days of The Keg and Cleaver.

The food and service is consistently great at the Keg on Garry. We have been going to this Keg since it opened over 30 years ago. A comment I have to the mgmt is we wish that the Billy Miner pie would go back to the original version. The newer version is not as good as the original version was.

A manager a really pay attention to our request for gluten free meal. She came to discuss all details and made sure there no contamination .She offered different options so our family had a few choices . We appreciate her professionalism and attentiveness so we felt comfortable and enjoy the dinner.

My takeout meal which was ordered in the morning for 4:50pm pickup was on time and well packed. Staff was polite. Only complaints and perhaps most important. My wife's steak was ordered well done but charred and cooked to a lump of coal. I did not complain as I ordered it that way. Although the chef went over board n the well done and meat was flavorless. This was Garry st. And I dont understand how they let this out the door. Lesson learned. Otherwise over all dinner was fair. Not Imppressive.

We have been going to the keg for years, as it was always a place to go that guaranteed a great evening out and fabulous food. Well, that has changed drastically. The past 3 times we have been served cold food, steaks not cooked as requested, long, long, long wait for our food to arrive. Portions on some items are significantly smaller, not to mention the much higher prices. I guess we will need to find a new favorite restaurant.

Ordered the overpriced $65 father’s day meal of steak and lobster. Opened the box and there was no lobster! Called right away and they offered a lobster tail for pick up (great but inconvienent - how could they forget the main item in the dish/name?). We pre-ordered for 6:00 and waited an extra 30 minutes for it to be ready. Ordered a medium rare steak and was given a well done one. So disappointing for the price. Will not order from
the Garry St location again 👎

We love The Keg. We wish we could afford to go more often. We love the prime rib but, on this visit, they were sold out. So, we ordered another cut of meat. As the photo shows, it was a plate of French fries with a side of meat for $35 (plus taxes)!! I don’t know what we’ll do in the future. The service was very good, as usual.

Honestly, after visiting this place I can't understand why anyone would patronize this kind of restaurant, it's simply a let down.. Firstly, the menu is way too small, they is almost no selection aside from steaks, one chicken selection is not acceptable. The servers were friendly and the ambiance was good, this is where it ended, Lobster tails were mini, blackened chicken was anything but, the chef clearly doesn't know what blackened means. Portions are small, steaks were mediocre and prices high for what you get. Will not be returning, restaurants have to up their game with inflation if they wont survive. There are so many better options.

We walked over to the Keg from the Ft. Garry Hotel our last nite in Winnipeg and found that the food was great and service was excellent. We both had steaks and they were cooked to perfection and were tender and juicy. Would definitely go there again.

We ordered blackened chicken and it wasn’t even closer to blackened at all. The chicken was like a regular home cooked breast, no special taste and it came with beets and just a bit of broccoli. Seriously didn’t like our meal at all. We asked the server to add bacon in mashed potatoes and she said NO straight away!! Got very disappointed! Will never eat at Keg again!

Ten of us friends, went to the Keg on Garry, in Winnipeg, for my birthday…We had a Fantastic waiter named BAILEY. He was knowledgeable, fun & attended to everything we wanted & a great personality 👍❤️…Our meals were delicious, not one of us had a complaint. So tasty !!!

We met with my sister, husband and their granddaughter.
It was a Monday early eve, and restaurant was very quiet and few occupied tables.
Patrick, our server was very friendly and courteous.
Having a very talkative child with us, he fro-see our dilemma of not getting a word in and brought out a veggie tray for her. Very much appreciated.
The food was excellent and the get together very enjoyable after a long hiatus of eating out due to the pandemic.

Has always been our go to place to celebrate birthdays etc. Our last 4 visits have been terrible unfortunately. This evening was the last time we'll be spending our time or money in this establishment. Steaks last 3 visits were very tough....today went with the prime rib....sooo chewy and tough couldn't even eat it. I'm not sure what's changed over the years....but the quality of the meat and the way it's being prepared is sub par.
Service was great.

One of the best steaks I've had in a long time! Great food, perfectly cooked, and good service. Glad we chose this place. The only thing we didn't like was the lemon broccolini (Had a weird almost soapy taste), but everything else was great.

Just a 1/2 block from the Ft. Garry Hotel & Spa, this was an easy pick for Saturday night dinner in Winnipeg. The restaurant offers great atmosphere, both inside and outside. We chose to stay away from the breeze inside and sat in the bar area while our table was prepared, which was also a nice area. The portions looked big and we were traveling the next day so we ordered an appetizer, separate soup/salad, then split the ribeye. The bread was memorably delicious and the artichoke appetizer was scrumptious. The other dishes, including the wedge and the ribeye, were average. All in all a good choice overall.
