After a fun night we were in desperate need of coffee. We tried most of the coffee drinks, which were all well made. The grapefruit juice was excellent. Dish one: the Arctic char, wow!The potatoes were ethereal, crispy outside and fluffy inside. The smoked char was perfect, not too smoky, perfect salt and texture. The pickles and the roe set the dish. We wanted to order another dish really bad. Dish two: mushroom toast, glad we had this second. It was intense in the best way. It was like getting slapped with a mushroom and enjoying it. Dark and silky with nice wilted kale and topped with the perfect poached egg. We were glad we shared this dish. Dish three: chorizo verde tostadas, the chorizo was perfectly spicy, but not overly so. The tortilla was perfect and crispy. The crema was a great binder to the whole dish and kept the flavors light and clean.

We had never heard of Clementine, but were referred by someone in one of the breweries we visited the day before...and we're glad we tried it. We loved the atmosphere, very cozy and comfortable. The food was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed getting breakfast and a coffee there. If you go, make sure you get a side of the bacon, it's amazingly thick and delicious.

This is the best place in Wpg for breakfast. I constantly dream of eating here. Their Turkish eggs are so sublime. And, they have the most amazing coffee. For vegetarians, their ricotta and tomato toast is a fantastic option. I swear, I wish most restaurants put as much effort In to their bread as this place does. The fried chicken is fantastic. Honestly, I wish I could eat here every day.

We were a party of 2. The way seating is set made it an extremely loud place. It was very hard to have any conversation without everyone knowing your business. I understand this of most busy places, so lets talk about the food. It was good, but honestly not worth the money. Portions are too small for the price you are paying. A singular slice of toast with sauteed mushrooms and poached egg. Tasty, but as I looked down at my puny portion I wondered what my $12 went to. I order a second meal of the waffle. At $10 it was also tasty but alas a singular waffle with some cream and topping, nothing to write home about. My Husband ordered the benedict and also had to order a second (the waffle) as he was also left hungry.
Service was smug as you'd expect in a hipster cafe. No one rude but they were all too busy to care. Parking is difficult, it is the exchange of course so as expected.
So - would I go again? Not if I really had to. It wasn't worth the effort to get there, the wait for a table or money for the portion size. However, if you are wanting a trendy hipster cafe and on a diet, then this is your place.

Had heard so much about the braised bacon Benedict so when we were in the area we decided to finally try it. It was packed when we arrived but only waited about 20 minutes for a table. Service was good and our order was taken in a timely manner. About 15 minutes later our food was delivered and after seeing many other Benedict’s be delivered with lots of hollandaise(the best part), mine didn’t have very much and was only luke warm so it congealed before I was finished half.
My dining partner had the burger and liked it but wasn’t blown away either. We ordered a side of potatoes and those were very good and hot.

This was my second visit to Clementine and as previously the food did not disappoint. Unfortunately though, when I’m going for breakfast, coffee is an essential part of the meal and here is where they failed. I first ordered an Americano. It was ok but not great- so I asked for a regular brewed coffee. The server advised me I would be charged and I agreed. There is not much coffee I can’t drink- but this coffee was un-drinkable! It had a very sour taste and was quite disappointing. I truly love the food at Clementine but sincerely hope they revisit their coffee.

This is my favorite breakfast place! The menu is always a bit different than the last time. Service is always great and friendly staff. My favorite is the bacon eggs Benedict with a side of potatoes which I split with my breakfast partner! I always come out stuffed to the gillls. My Chai Tea Latte is always delicious too! Highly recommend.
But definitely not your greasy-spoon $3 breakfast joint.

located in the middle of the exchange district, this is not a likely spot for a restaurant. at openning time 9:00 on a Saturday, people were lined up to get in, and it was almost full by 10. trendy food for trendy people. i had the oatmeal and enjoyed every bite.

This is a very popular breakfast/brunch place in downtown Winnipeg. It was our first time here but we wanted to try it out since it has such great reviews. We were lucky in that we got there before a lineup had formed. The menu is very unusual; there are so many great choices! We were all very happy with what we had ordered. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Winnipeg.

Yes there is always a wait and the atmosphere, friendliness of staff and the diverse menu makes the wait totally worth it. I have returned many times since my first visit in January. The same great experience each time: excellent food, the best staff and every dish is so so flavorful.
Luckily I have found that going solo I can usually be seated at the bar with a minimal wait. This is a well known venue in downtown and so just getting down the stairs is sometimes a challenge. Please don’t get impatient and enjoy every minute. The cocktails as well as the coffees are solid. The food can not be better prepared. My appreciation to everyone involved from the Owners and Chef to the wait staff.

It is worth the wait. All 4 dishes Peppercorn beef dip, waffles, thick bacon, ricotta and tomato were phenomenal. Chai Lattes and strong coffee were great too. You will probably have to wait but it is worth it.

I was looking for something different from brunch and Clementine came highly recommended. We heard it is always lined up out the door busy but this was a Monday and we thought it would not be so busy.
I was wrong.
You go through the door and down a flight of stairs to a surprisingly bright, airy restaurant with great vibes and friendly people.
They do not take reservations and we had to wait awhile for a table for 4 but it was worth the wait.
Dominique was our server and she was delightful. A Metis woman who is studying at University of Winnipeg, she looked after us beautifully.
I shared with my wife the Smoked Trout dish and the Verde Chorizo Toast. They were both really different and delicious. Washed it down with a Piccolo coffee.
I really liked this place. Great vibes. Great food that was different but accessible.
if you can get in, it is worth it.

Clementine serves breakfast and brunch. These are delicious options, where you can try a reinterpretation of typical Canadian dishes, and accompany them with teas, coffees or other similar drinks. Cozy atmosphere, excellent location right in the city center.

The concierge at my hotel recommended I try Clementine. The restaurant is not well marked on the street but once inside prepare to be impressed. The menu offers dishes I’ve never had the option of trying. I visited two days in a row; Turkish poached eggs the first visit and waffles the second day. Both were superb! Friendly and attentive staff.

The best brunch spot I have been to in a while. This is a world-class restaurant. Open kitchen lets you see the expert prep and finish going on in the back room. Friendly service. Reminds me of top brunch/lunch place in New York like Dagon/Pastis - everything looked and tasted great. This restaurant is in the rare category of being "worth a trip" to go to - as Michelin would say. Do not miss if you are in Winnipeg
