Offering authentic Mexican tacos in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.We make our tacos from traditional recipes with local, organic and sustainable products, when possible.Our menu offers different types of fillings which can be served as a Taco (soft tortilla, made locally) or as a Quesadilla.La Taqueria is born in 2009, through the idea of creating a pinche taco stand, which resemble the taste and feel of street tacos around Mexico. These tacos are usually the best and are often referred to as pinche tacos.Both locations are open 11am to 8:30pm Monday to Saturday. Closed Sunday.

We had them cater our sons wedding of 150 people and everything was amazing. The chips and salsa appetizer and the delicious variety of tacos. Many of our guests commented on how delicious their food was and the staff was so friendly and worked so hard to make everything just right. We highly recommend their food truck as a catering option. Thank you La Taqueria!

The flavours in the Burrito Asada were very good. I found that it could have used a bit of sauce or something, personally, as I did find it a tiny bit dry. The Churros were excellent. This is a small restaurant.

We got the poblano and corn tacos and the carnitas. They were both amazing. I don’t understand the bad review. This place rocks. Will definitely come back when I’m Vancouver

3 tacos each and a small soft drink came to over $50 for 2, without tips in a run down area of Hastings st. For a basic eatery this was too much. The place is designed for a quick meal/ turnaround with bar stool chairs and a pre-pay service, but they charge you like its a mid-priced restaurant.
The tacos were tasty to be fair, but I've had equally tasty tacos from other places in Vancouver. I went because of all the 5* reviews and ratings, but I came away quite disappointed. For me it was a 3* or maybe 3.5* at best.

Overall pretty bad experience unfortunately. Cheap ingredients and very overpriced. Took a long time for our food to come with only 2 other people in the restaurant and when it did, they served me a meat dish when I ordered and specified that I was vegetarian. They brought out the correct one later but didn’t apologize and sadly we had to leave by the time the correct one came.
Thought this place was going to be great but pretty disappointing. If you’re looking for Taco’s or Mexican cuisine, there are a lot of far better options downtown!!

I don’t usually leave reviews but I thought it was important due to our experience after eating here. My husband and my in laws had dinner here, my husband ordered the Al Pastor and Tinga De Pollo tacos. He unfortunately then developed food poisoning that night which led to days of GI upset. My in-laws and I had decreased appetite/felt queasy the day after as well (we ordered the chicken bowl and baja tacos). I don’t want to talk this restaurant down because the service was really good. But the day we went (August 8/24) it felt like +30 degrees Celsius inside so maybe they just need to watch their food safe handling especially on very hot days.

We were walking by and decided to stop in. It is a very small place with bar seating and maybe 6 tables for two. They couldn't make any margaritas-on a Saturday afternoon-at a Mexican restaurant. Kinda like Mcd's not having fries-unacceptable. We ordered tacos-carnitas, asada. They were good, I liked that the corn tortillas were a decent size. The al pastor tacos, which is my favorite taco, just weren't good. It was a pork patty instead of strips of pork and the flavors were just not right. My friend had the sopa de tortillas which was delicious. Some things were good, some were not.

We went for their happy hour and had super delicious margaritas. The food was phenomenal. The fish tacos are amongst the best we’ve had. Would 100% come back.

The restaurant is small, but very cozy. Food is not too expensive and very tasty. Also, they have margaritas on tap that is a must try if you visit. Highly recommend this place!

This place is going downhill. Table service is horrid. We waited 20 minutes for a rude waiter to take our order. They no longer offer the nice little pickled veggies or other salsas, so you are left with your tacos as is. The wait staff is profoundly incompetent and unpleasant. When I asked for someone to come take our order after 20 minutes I was dealt with very rudely. The bartender acted as if I were impudent for asking what beer they have on tap--the waitress sure didn't know.
