We had heard the food was great at this restaurant But after ordering our food and it being placed before us... the food looking at it looked good But when we started to eat it, it was full of butter and high amount of salt!...We couldn’t eat the food. We paid and left and will never visit that restaurant again 😡More

A highlight of our semi-annual pilgrimage to Cancun is the ferry-ride trip to Isla Mujeres for lunch at La Casa de Tikinxic at Playa Lancheros. You can sit under the palapa roof or on the beach for a shady but breezy lunch. The Tikinxic fish...is so tender and flavorful... not spicy hot but full of achiote goodness. It is roasted inside their brick oven and comes with slaw (sliced cabbage and lettuce), rice, and deliciously fresh corn tortillas. Pair that with a cold beer and friendly service and it makes for a delightful afternoon. We have visited at least 5-6 times and always had a great experience. I highly recommend it.More

We stayed in an all-inclusive resort, but several of the guests recommended this place for the Tikinxix fish. The location is on the beach near boat tour excursion dock. The service was friendly, but the fish takes a while to prepare. It was served with...cabbage salad, tortillas, rice and a beautifully presented fish that was smoky, flavorful and moist. The price for the fish and huge portion of fresh ceviche were about $30 for two people with plenty of leftovers. I would highly recommend.More

After reading reviews about their Tikinxic, my wife and I decided we had to stop by and try it. It arrived looking very tasty with huge piles of rice and cabbage however, we were both unimpressed with this very dry fish, which in our case...was grouper.More

Great food, great service, and great location on the beach. Delicious Tikinxic. It takes a little while to cook, but it is worth it. Ivan was our waiter and he did a great job. Definitely worth checking out! Best fish I have ever eaten!

I had stopped by to try the traditional fish of Isla Mujeres, Tikinxic. The platter was meant to be shared by 2 people but probably could had been shared by 3 or 4. There was so much leftover food. I couldn't finish it.

My wife and I were looking forward to a nice lunch and Playa Lancheros. We arrived at 12:15 before the crowd, on golf carts and the catamarans. We ordered our beers and they came out in a slow manner. We ordered our food before 2...other table and they were served before us. My grilled shrimp and garlic was over cooked. The grilled chorizo sausage was excellent. My wife’s steak and shrimp came out after my meal and the steak was under cooked and raw and frozen in the middle. She sent the steak back. They were good enough to take her meal off the bill. The location is beautiful. The beach is beautiful. They had a dog roaming around the table begging for food. Not a healthy thing... #coronavirus This is a Great place for people watching as they get off of the many catamarans to dine at the other restaurants on the beach. Good luck if you go here.More

This was a recommendation by a local, the food was amazing. Service was great and a great location. By far the best meal we ate on the island was the Tikinxic.

The shark does not belong to the restaurant administration, but it is still owned by the people who take care of it.
