I do not know if people were in other restaurants in Cozumel but this is not such a good place to eat for sure. Las Perlita was recommended to us by someone who was there years ago and remembers the name of this place. I...would advise other people to walk to the centre and find a good spot there for better quality and money. The restaurant is not in the centre and we came there by taxi. The first impression was not good at all. They brought old cheap tortillas in a plastic bag. I probably had the worst tortillas in Mexico there. They do not bring you a welcome starter at all. The lionfish ceviche is ok but it is not such good as many people wrote about it. Did people who leave reviews try ceviche in other places ? I cannot understand it. They also use old oil to fry shrimps and etc. The drinks are made of cheap tequila and they charge you the same money as in good restaurants or even more. I would not recommend you to go there.More

An assuming place that dishes up super fresh delicious mexican seafood dishes. The wife and I had cerviche, fish tacos, fresh fish, tostadas. Food was excellent, service was very friendly, quick and this place was a standout in many places we eat in throughout Cozumel....Highly recommend.More

Dive instructor suggested this restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Ordered lion fish cevieche. It was good, a little salty, but I ate a small order which was huge. Ordered fresh red snapper breaded in coconut with the mango sauce on the side. Huge...portion of fish. Ignored the vegetables because I wanted every piece of the snapper in my belly. It was Heavenly. So good. I would say it was my best meal of the trip so far. I would recommend coming for the fish. I ate snapper at kondesa the previous night. The snapper was not close to the freshness of the snapper at la perlita.More

My wife and I are visiting Cozumel for the first time to celebrate our birthdays. As part of our travels, we prefer to seek places outside the beaten path. We have learned during our travels that the best way to enjoy authentic food and culture...of any country is finding those local gems. La Perlita is as authentic as it gets. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. I ordered a beer and my wife a margarita. The beer was cold and the margarita delicious. They specialize in seafood serving fresh, never frozen, fish daily. We then ordered their red snapper. Fried, with rice and vegetables. It came out in a timely manner and the presentation was well done. It was absolutely delicious. The whole experience was less than $45USD. A must visit for those foodies that want to experience local cuisine and local culture. Well done!More

Well after 8 years of calling La Perlita one of my favourite places,, it is officially “OFF” my list. 3 months of no lionfish special,, and now no margaritas??!! So many other places on the island to enjoy what we come here for. 🥲

Poorest food I’ve ever had! Went there expecting their normal Good food! Well, they didn’t have any fish but something called “snook”! Over cooked snd smelled like fish so it was old! There selection was very poor fir everything else there! Totally dissatisfied and disappointed!...With all the good restaurants in the island doubt very much if we’ll ever go back! Couldn’t and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.More

Try the Seafood Casserole. Delicious and very inexpensive for what you get! Takes US credit cards, cash or pesos.

I was only here a few days before we ordered ceviche to be delivered and it was as delicious as always. La Perlita has been at the top of my fav places for 8 years now Another pleasant experience this week, in person. Again ,...delicious ceviche and pico, and lovely upgrades to the interior. Large margaritas no longer available, which is probably a good thing because they packed a punch but the new size is just a bit too small, and not as good as they used to be. And although not surprised, especially in these times, I was so sad to learn my friend and favourite waiter Victor has retired. La Perlita will not be the same without you. Can’t wait to go back on a Thursday for delicious Lionfish.More

I have been to La Perlita more times then I can count. I love this place. The lionfish has gotten rarer to find, but that is also a sign that they are working on wiping them out. I highly recommend checking this place out. Coconut...anything is my favorite. It was shrimp this night.More

Take a cab to this little gem in an island neighborhood (if you have a rental always plenty of handy parking on street) and get ready for some great seafood. Had Lion Fish and Red Snapper at different times during our 3 visits. Wonderful coconut...breading on Lion Fish. We ordered the coconut breading on snapper too. Others in our party enjoyed the garlic fish as well. Lobster was amazing......really amazing. And the vegetables are cooked right. Not overdone like some places. Tacos and Fajitas excellent as well. Our server Victor met us all three times and we enjoyed his recommendations and his fun personality. Fun little local restaurant. Flan was great tooMore
