My husband and I have dined here several times recently and were given spectacular service by our waiter, Angel. He suggested the special tastes of Mexico offering for my meal. We are staying at the Royal Sands for a couple of weeks and have eaten dinner a few nights at El Conquistador. Our waiters have been Yimy on some nights and Leonel on other nights. Both have given exceptional service and have remembered our names...and preferences for wine and other offerings. They both have suggested dishes that they thought we would enjoy. The chef, Horacio also came to our table to make sure that we enjoyed our meal. Francisco, the waiters helper, was efficient and friendly as well. We love both the food and service and would highly recommend this restaurant.More

The food is excellent. The atmosphere with Jorge Duran playing guitar is fantastic. Service is great. All of it creates a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it.

Back to our favorite restaurant. We had a Cowboy steak, Filet Minion, bananas Foster and Mayan coffee. Excellent. Service by Lionel and Yimy superb. Can’t wait to go back again on Sunday.

We had the opportunity to enjoy dinner on three separate occasions. Each time the service was impeccable. The food was outstanding. Servers Lionel and Angel made it special. My wife loved the Lamb Chops. Leave room for the dessert as it is amazing. We look...forward to our next visit as El Conquistador will definitely be on our list.More

My family of four had a great experience here, but not because of the food, decor or ambience, which were mostly lacking, but because of the service and showmanship with table side dishes. I thought the decor was a bit pedestrian for a nice restaurant...and the ambience a bit bland. For the food part... *The lobster bisque was so-so. * Caprese salad w prosciutto was so-so. * Steak Diane was very good and prepared table side. * Chateaubriand was pretty good, but the potatoes au gratin were mediocre. I’m not sure how you mess up potatoes au gratin. * The half roasted chicken was winner of the night, believe it or not. It was delectable. My daughter got mashed potatoes and glazed carrots with it. * Bananas Foster was excellent. * Coconut creme brûlée was so-so. * The Flambé Mayan coffee was incredible table side showmanship...better than the coffee actually tasted. Showmanship for table side bananas foster was also great. Despite its shortcomings, my family left feeling happy with the overall experience at this restaurant.More

Since they had just reopened we deceided to see how one of our favorite places to eat was doing . We were not disappointed!! The food was great as usual and the service the same. Not slot of people eating and they have separate spacing...for distancing . My only disappointment was that our guitar player friend Jorge Duran was not playing that night. The wine was good and food as well glad they are back!!!More
