Ishi Aya's Garden Bistro is definitely the best restaurant in Tabaco City, Albay. I was not expecting to find such a spacious restaurant in a rather small city like Tabaco. It's got function rooms and a lovely outdoor garden dining area (called "Chef Aya's Garden"). The menu has a good selection of Asian cuisines, but we opted to try some of its original local dishes, which turned out to be really tasty (albeit they're a bit pricey and come in rather small servings). Thus, we had some Chef Aya's Mayon 360, Datu Makusog, Pili crusted fish fillet, Ishi Aya's salad, etc. The Chef Aya's Garden is set in a hangar-looking structure, decorated with a fountain, some chandeliers, and lots of artificial plants. The over-all look is lovely and relaxing. Service was prompt and cordial. Parking is available, but with very limited slots. If you want to dine indoors, I suggest that you book in advance. Highly recommended!

I would never miss a trip to Tabaco City without dining in at this locally-owned Japanese resto. Plus, the owner whose a celebrity is very accommodating. Try their california maki, one of the best!

Have visited the restaurant at least once every time I visit Legazpi. It’s a bit of a drive from the city but the food is worth the travel. Very eclectic mix of Asian cuisine. Really is a food trippers paradise.

We ordered salmon and tuna sashimi, salmon sushi and ishiaya ramen. I understand sashimi needs to be frozen if it will not be served fresh. But to be SERVED frozen sashimi is dismal! I have never been served frozen SASHIMi in Japan. At least other jap restos take time to thaw sashimi before serving them. The salmon SUSHI was good. I call their ramen- UNramen. It tasted like Pinoy mami. The noodles tasted like the ones you find in a pinoy mami. Japanese ramen noodles have a certain texture and taste and Ishiaya ramen is nothing like it. Just go buy instant Ichiran ramen in any asian grocery store to satisfy your ramen craving. The servers were attentive though. They immediately replaced the calamasi juice when i found a small floating fly. Understandable as we dined al fresco.

We’ve been here on November, every night during our weeklong vacation and it was simply a place that Tabaco can really be proud of. A place that will give any Japanese resto in Manila a run for their money. Plus they have some original dishes that you must try to order, you’ll never go wrong, you’re already there you might as well have an adventurous meal, one that is guaranteed to impress you :)

You’ve never been to Tabaco if you’ve never eaten here!!!! The food is scrumptious! It is a Unique and affordable Japanese cuisine owned by Aya Medel, who was always there every night. You’ll never go wrong with whatever you order from the menu but worth mentioning that you must try is the NAYOKA SALAD !

We had another chance to visit Ishiaya's for lunch on our way to Mayon skyline. we originally visited this restaurant 2 years before and were surprised then to find this nice restaurant in Tabaco, I am happy to say they've maintained their high standards and consistently prepares excellent japanese/filipino fusion cuisine! This time we had a sampling of the fern salad, mixed sashimi, sushi, and the boneless crispy pata. All were delicious and presentation was top-notch. Service is also first rate - Aya must have trained them well. This restaurant is highly recommended and we all look forward to visiting it again.

My favorite restaurant in Tabaco City. And my favorite restaurant in Albay. The dishes I love here are the Nayoka Salad, Mayon 360, Volcano Roll, Dalmatian Roll and the Padyak's Favorite. The place is great, too. It really captured the Japanese ambiance.
