This restaurant is a real oasis. It has a sophistication you don’t expect in a small ferry port town. The ambiance combined with smartly dressed waiting staff is special. We were greeted at the door on arrival and shown to a table. The air conditioning was comfortable. I’m a vegetarian and in common with most restaurants there are no vegetarian options indicated on the menu. I am usually directed to a salad and I was again here. I do eat fish, so I opted for the Bicol Express. I also ordered a gin and tonic. When the food came there was no g+t. I asked a waiter for my drink. He directed me to the bar. I said I was not going to the bar to get a drink and told him to bring one to me! This he did. The food and drinks were excellent. The staff are friendly but there were communication problems even with my Filipina friend. She asked for the menu so we could chose a dessert and was brought the bill! Overall it is a very nice place with very good food. We would go back and recommend it to others.

High school friends had to come and visit Bicol for the first time and I just had to let them see Lola's Bistro as it's also my first time to actually dine in to the restaurant. And much to my surprise, they love it as much as I do and they all have different favorites which is a huge compliment for the chef! We didn't know that proportions were that huge, it's good for 2-3 people we actually ended up ordering a lot on the first visit but definitely didn't go to waste.
We ordered Bagoong Rice, Tinapa Rice, Cheesy Crispy Sisig, Sweet & Sour Pork and Sinigang na Watermelon. Loved every bit. Definitely good food! Ripe Mango shakes were also a blast! Recommended for everyone.

We are from Denmark and had a very nice evening in the restaurant.
The service was friendly and the food very testy - clean and high hygiejne.
