We noticed The Caravel on one of our walks and thought we should give it a try. We enjoyed delicious conch chowder and tasty grouper. Service was very friendly and fast. The environment is relaxed.

This was our annual visit to Caravel. The food was good, service was friendly. My son and I had coconut grouper which seemed heavily fried, a little over cooked. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meal. I'm not sure I'd go back again.

Just finished a meal with my family (wife and two children, 10&13). We enjoyed their signature dish of mixed tacos and the surprisingly delicious Cream Conch soup. Their service was prompt and courteous, perhaps because their were only four tables occupied, although I suspect we’d...More

We go to Provo for vacation every year and we always go to Caravel. The food is great, the service is exceptional and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend it.

Had coconut crusted grouper. Fried in grease, with heavy sauce and not good. Avoid. Reminded me of basic pub food, if you are in to that. Also getting sick if not worth the gamble.

The food was excellent. We all shared the Conch Fritters for our appetizer. We also had the Grouper Fillet, Snapper Fillet, and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. The service was also excellent. It's decorated very nicely, but it just doesn't have an island feel to it.

My wife and I stopped by here for dinner and we’re so glad we did! The food was excellent (coconut grouper and shrimp dinner) and the service was equally as good. Would definitely recommend.

The "Caravel" was a ship developed by the Portuguese to explore along the West African Coast and into the Caribbean. This ship had a distinctive shape and admirable qualities. A gently sloping bow single stern castle were prominent features of this vessel. Although the caravel had already been in use for hundreds of years, it advanced into an incredibly fast, easily maneuverable vessel, which was noticed by eminent people. This extraordinary vessel gained fame with the Portuguese and Spanish voyages of discovery. Columbus's ships Nina and Pinta were supposedly caravels and Columbus repeatedly praise his favorite ship, Nina, for her great speed, maneuverability and safety.
