I had brunch here with a friend while in San Juan. It came highly recommended by the hotel, it was packed. The menu incorporates chocolate into everything. It was ok with avocado. And my friend found the burger to be interesting (he was glad to...More

Food was okay. Service was functional, not friendly, really. We got two desserts, since they wouldn’t open the breakfast menu past 11am. Presentation was nice.

Halfway through the afternoon of a fairly long day in old San Juan, this was a delightful interlude. Imaginative coffee and alcohol beverages -- as you would expect, most with a chocolate component -- are the main attraction here. My only complaint was that the...More

Recommended as a must. I ordered the steak sandwich and was underwhelmed. The steak tasted very good but being that it was significantly smaller than the small bun and had much more fat than reasonable acceptable not impressed. Perhaps I should have said something but...More

The Forteza Caribbean Dark chocolate bars are vegan. The bon bons or truffes are not because although the shell is dark chocolate the filling has cream in them.

ChocoBar is a new, innovative gastronomic space located in the heart of Old San Juan, and here chocolate is our guiding star. Our restaurant is part of Casa Cortés, where the historical patrimonies of the capital city, Caribbean art, and first class service converge. Here you can enjoy a variety of dishes and cocktail selections, elaborated with local products from the family run Cortés Chocolate Enterprise. A novel gastronomic concept that encompasses art and culture, where enjoying chocolate is a passion and quality is our compromise.
