Bugsay Restaurant Food is okay that is why its popular so i gave it a 4 for the food. Not air conditioned, literally on stilts above the waters. The place looks run down but its not, its just poor aesthetic.

Love the place and food! My faves were the adobong pusit and some shells' meat (forgot the name, was it sangsang?) Lami-an jud ko! 😃😋 Service is good. Very Instragramable place. Nice place to unwind with the cool breeze, cool music from the live band...

busog is a Filipino term for full from a very filling meal. that’s how you will feel when you dine in this resto by the sea. it is not airconditioned to allow fresh sea breeze to ventilate the whole place. there is an open space where one can freely take pictures of the sea, shore and sun. the food takes time to be prepared so better bring a lot of conversation topics with friends or families who will come with you. we ordered shrimps, clams, soup and grilled fish belly. crabs were not available. the long wait however, is very much compensated by the delicious seafood dishes which were reasonably priced. no wifi, though. just rely on your data for internet connection.

Went over on our first night after we arrived in General Luna. Wanted to grab a drink nearby our Resort and chance upon Bugsay. The live music was really great, the grills look really appetising, the bartender Jason was really friendly and nice. Great place for food and drinks.

Ate lunch. We ordered mostly seafood like fish, shrimp, clams and squid. The food is good however the shrimp is not so fresh. Overall it was a nice place to eat and relax.

We visited this restaurant by means of recommendation from our trisikad driver Larry. It is on the seafront and the restaurant is on stilts over the sea. Not the most pretty of places but restaurant was clean and food was very good. My wife had squid bbq and myself tuna belly with rice and Pinckney. Service was very good and food, portion size and presentation was good. Prices the norm for sea food. Didn’t see many establishments in the local area to challenge this restaurant and would happily eat here again.

Went here with my family, and they enjoyed it. Food was good, portions were generous and the atmosphere is nice. Just that there were no desserts available at all from the list on the menu, at times difficult to call a waiter not because it was too busy, but because they were huddled up talking to each other.

We arrived at the vaunted place at about 1:00pm and ordered right away after a get away trip from the Dinagat Islands. But we were served at past 2:00pm even if the same were short orders. I would like to walk out already, as it was not only about me; it was about my wife and little child also. I joked with sarcasm to the two waiters if how far away are they capturing their chicken for our order. Furthermore, we felt like 2nd class citizens as many groups who arrived late were served much earlier than us who had to sit it out in agony to wait for their "precious" buttered chicken, saang shells, rice, and drinks to arrive. And whew, the same arrived after an eternity.

We waited almost an hour for our order and to think our orders were only good for 2 persons. I could not remember the taste anymore since we were really hungry and finished right away after the food was served. The restaurant has a good view since it is by the beach but....... it is adjacent/beside residential houses wherein most of the shanties do not have a potty. :( Shanties wherein the comfort rooms are directly flushed to the sea. Noooooo. We went there during low tide. And I guess you can now imagine the view and smell of the garbage on the shore. :(

This was recommended by a staff of the hotel where we stayed. At first,my mom was hesitant as the sorrounding and the facade is not that inviting.No parking area also(you just park along the road). But since we really wanted to try local and seafoods in particular, we have convinced mom. To our surprise, it 's actually nice in the inside. Very refreshing seaview, friendly staff and yes! yummy food. The price is also very reasonable. Everyone should try this when in Surigao City.

It was beautiful-peaceful and relaxing. Staff was outstanding. The restaurant was exceptional along with the hosts and servers. Everything that has brought to us was impeccable. Great dining experience.

Had interestingly delicious food served to us at this resto by the sea and the quaint ambiance and setting was so pleasing at night (we dined in for dinner) plus that sea breeze just calms the nerves as we savored the meal.

I have now been twice. The first time was not memorable as we waited for more than an hour to be served our food. The place was almost full but if you look in the kitchen, it's not really fitted out to be cooking multiple meals. The second time I went was for lunch and it was far more amenable. The ambience is better during the day because you have unobstructed views across the water as the restaurant is built onto the sea. The food was served in good time, the beer was cold and a far better experience all round. My suggestion is lunch, or an early dinner, while it's still light.
