Made a last minute booking over the weekend for dinner and was left pleasantly surprised. The food standards were spectacular, staff couldn't have been more friendly. Had dinner in the main restaurant and the atmosphere was great, didn't have to wait long for anything maybe...about 5-10 minutes. Good song selection playing in the back ground as well will absolutely be back even just for brunch or a cocktail or two. Would definitely recommend to anyone if they asked for somewhere to eat.More

The staff were great from start to finish. I think it was Lorna looking after the bar customers. She could not have been more professional. She was observant, calm & helpful without being in anyway intrusive. I'm glad we went through to the bar as...suggested (restaurant full) as it had a calm atmosphere. The scallops were very good, haggis bon bons best I've tasted & the mains looked impressive. Steak pie could've perhaps done with less pastry, more steak & to be served with more potatoes. My vege main was okay; chips good. Pudding selection was good & what I had tasted okay. Coffee tasty. (Toilets could've been cleaner. Also one door wouldn't shut from the inside. But I saw they were checked hourly so perhaps I was just unlucky!!)More

My friend, her daughter and I visited for lunch. We both had the chicken breast sandwiches with fries and soup. My friends daughter is gluten free. The service from the chef was excellent and they made her chicken tempura which was not on the menu....We then had scones and gluten free chocolate cake. The food was all delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and a credit to your company.More

Warm welcome, nice to have team members with personality. Good buzz about the place and all felt Covid safe as good practices being carried out. Good menu selection, everything we ordered was tasty and beautifully presented. All served in good time. I have used the...word good a lot in this review, which is a good sign. As we were leaving, one of the chefs was also finishing and heading out. Outside she asked if we had eaten and had we enjoyed our meal. That care and interest was displayed through our whole experience.More

Friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Food was nice enough basic but good pub food. Portions could be a little more generous. Ok from a price point but felt they they were holding back a bit as I said. Nice clean pints.

Booked for Saturday breakfast. Very friendly, very clean and all COVID precautions were in place. Food was very nice: veggie breakfast, pancakes and filled rolls. Breakfast smoothies are excellent. Toilets were pristine. Only downside if awful big band/jazz muzak at 10 am. Nobody likes it...!More

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and great food. Great kids menu too. We had a small delay with kids meal and staff were very apologetic and offered free dessert without us complaining. Will definitely be back!

I have been visiting Buzzworks restaurants for many years and over the past couple of years I have noticed a significant decline in their food. The menus are uninspiring and when the dishes appear the presentation, quality and taste is also uninspiring. I feel that...a large company of this status should be working hard to produce dishes that reflect the amazing local ingredients that Scotland has on offer. Lockdown offered a time for the team of chefs to invent new and exciting dishes - surely top quality chefs don’t train to spend their time making lasagna, macaroni, fajitas, fish and chips and chilli. Give the people of Ayrshire a reason to want to visit these restaurants rather than just to see the nice decor. So much potential but seriously lacking in the most important area - the food. Today I visited the Cornerhouse and ordered prawn cocktail and turkey from the special Christmas menu. One lettuce leaf, four prawns in a tasteless sauce and two small pieces of stale bread made up the prawn cocktail. The turkey consisted of two slices of very chewy meat with a fatty strip attached to each, half an over cooked carrot and parsnip, mash, one roast potato, one chipolata, stuffing and a small amount of gravy. There were no sprouts or cranberry sauce. I feel sad having to write this as I know how horrible 2020 has been and businesses in the hospitality industry have been seriously affected. However, this is a sizeable company with what appears like money to invest on the decor on restaurants, so it would be good if they could invest some of the money into great quality chefs and cuisine offered to the people of Ayrshire and beyond.More

We booked online, a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 kids (just about!), it was simple and the confirmation was prompt. The seating was spread out, we had a great spot beside the fire place. The service was friendly and professional, the Manager, Stewart,...and his team doing an excellent job. Our booking was at 1600, and due to COVID restrictions we needed be out by 1800, but at no point did we feel rushed. The food was fantastic, and the portions generous. We can’t wait to return. There was a minor mix up with out bill, but this was resolved without an issue. Well done Cornerhouse.More

There are car parks close by but depending on time of day you could struggle to get a space.
