As others have said, this restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I had made a reservation a few days before I arrived and had no issued getting a table at my arrival time. The decor of the New Orleans style mansion was nice. Some have said this restaurant is romantic, but in my opinion, they word I would use is spooky. This has nothing to do with Halloween, but the restaurant was dark, they played a weird instrumental of Oh Susana! over and over. I thought you would get a good view of the attractions in the ride or people boarding the boats, but that was kind of off in the distance. Now this is Disney, so even though I said spooky, it was still a nice restaurant and I would go back. There were plenty of kids and I'm sure they were having fun. The service was excellent. Unfortunately, I don't speak Japanese, but the entire staff does their best to communicate with you. In this case, I was lucky because the person who took my order was born in Atlanta, GA, so communication was not an issue. The only thing is that the staff rotate, so you always see a new face giving you the next course, and the level of English will vary. But the menu is in English, so there should be issues ordering unless you can't read English or Japanese. The food is comprised of a set menu and price where you choose a appetizer, entree, and dessert. The hors d'oeuvre appetizer was really good. The seafood gumbo entree was also good, but the sauce or soup it was in had a commercial taste to it. But the lobster, scallops, fish inside the gumbo was cooked perfectly. The pecan pie appetizer was also good, but the dessert portion was tiny. For the price, they should have served 2 desserts. It was a good time. I would probably go back, but I would definitely try the other restaurants first.

As a child in Disneyland, I wanted to dine at the Pirates of Caribbean boat ride's restaurant (Blue Bayou) in the U.S. but my parents were being parsimonious. Finally in 2006 I was extremely lucky to have a Mexican friend working at Epcot (Disney World, Florida) and I was invited for a dinner at San Angel Inn (thanks to Omar the marriachi band player!) there was about ten of us and I was the only non-Disney employees. The experience was unforgettable and they just kept bringing more and more food- all delicious! San Angel Inn located in Mexico at Epcot, has very similar vibes to Blue Bayou although the food is very different. Mid-2018, I had lunch at Blue Bayou inside Tokyo Disneyland. The setting was very calming, you could hear the (fake) crickets singing and see stars beaming in the (fake) dark romantic skies. It felt like I was in New Orleans in the 1920s, or, at a friend's home BBQ pool party at their mansion backyard in Bali. Blue Bayou serves set-course meal (select 1 Entree, 1 Main, 1 Dessert) with accompaniment bread (2 types + butter). Food was not fantastic, but good, in fact really good for a restaurant at a theme park. Service was also attentive and friendly. In late October 2019, I came back to Blue Bayou this time with my sister the Disney freak and fussy eater. She loved the ambience, arrived with low expectation on the food as I had warned her. For Entree, we had the borscht soup which was good. For Main. We had the lobster gumbo and that is always nice, scallop was plump and naturally sweet and perfect texture. I selected the same exact Entree & Main as last year, although the soup last year was a vegetable soup with green mousse. For Dessert, I had my sister order the pecan nut pie+vanilla ice cream, so I can have the today's special chocolate brownie sunday. Last year I had the pumpkin pie and it wasn't Halloween. The desserts were good but a little too sweet for my taste.

We had lunch at the Blue Bayou and it was beautiful. It is right next to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride so you have shooting stars overhead, lanterns, fire fly's and the sound of New Orleans in the background. The food was wonderful. We had a set menu of starter, main and dessert and it was all very good. The service was excellent and they are constantly checking if you are ok and if everything is alright. It was a meal we will always remember.

I simply love The Blue Bayou Restaurant! This time I dined at The Tokyo Disneyland Blue Bayou. It looks just like the one in The California Disneyland. The New Orleans themed restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The atmosphere is what draws me in. Lanterns to light the dark sky. Fireflies buzzing around in the dark. frogs croaking. Crickets chirping . The Fixed menu here was great! One of the more expensive restaurants to eat in at Disneyland. The food is always good. I celebrated my birthday here with my family. The staff was lovely. It's always evening at The Blue Bayou Restaurant . I recommend this place!

Maybe the Japanese like to savour their food but we were there for over 1 hour as the food took forever to come. The POTC ride was temporarily down during our lunch so we didn't get to see the boats floating by. We chose this restaurant because it had vegetarian options (a quiche), the food was delicious but the service was slow. A family that came in after us also left before us. Perhaps it was because we asked our server if we could make substitutions to the child meal (it was not vegetarian) and so she was gone for the longest time to check (the answer was NO). Food wise, it was tasty. So that made up for it. In terms of ambience, the repeated banjo strumming of "Oh Susanna" got old really fast and my annoyance with the slow service did not help. We booked online (I had a hotel reservation, so was able to access the reservations in English) but on slower days at the park, you could go to the restaurant at 10am and try to get priority seating. You can check out the restaurant menu and prices on the resort website.

I cant complain about the food. Only because if you spent the whole morning waiting in line walking around, getting in line and the riding the rides in the park. My family and I would have ate anything you put in front of our face. Disney Park food with Disney Park Prices.

This restaurant is an experience in itself. We rode the Pirates of the Caribbean ride prior to our lunch here (note: we booked our table as soon as we arrived at the park to avoid disappointment ) It was already a thrill to see the sea of gorgeous twinkling lanterns over the diners as they watched our boat float past! We were lucky enough to have a table right up against the small fence allowing us a good view of the ride ! It's not cheap to eat at the Blue Bayou - but the food was some of the best Ive ever eaten! We all had the potato cream soup which was as delicious as it sounds. My main was a beef tenderloin with vegetables and gravy. The beef was the most tender, "melt in your mouth" cut I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend the Blue Bayou enough.

Great place for a nice low lit candlelight meal. You can do people watching if you seat by the water. The steak is very good.

This restaurant in the New Orleans part of Disney serves a small alla carte menu. It's full table service and as a quirky aside is inside the start of the Pirates of tge Caribbean ride. I had a nice piece of fish with vegetables and my wife had gumbo. Both were good. A nice place to get away from the noise.

We wandered into the Blue Bayou in hopes that they had open seating. To our luck, they did! We were seated near the water and enjoyed the cool air in the building. There was a pre fix course or an ala cart menu which we ordered from. The food was so good and well priced! My daughter loved her steak so much that she asked to return for dinner that night! We went to the SS Columbia dining room at Disney Sea instead and found several of the same dishes. Odd but both were great places to eat!

My husband and I love Blue Bayou and have always eaten there for our anniversary. We've done this in Disneyland and Disneyland Paris (Blue Lagoon). Tokyo Disneyland does not provide a vegetarian option in almost all of their restaurants, and this include Blue Bayou. The workers of Tokyo Disneyland do everything they can to help the guests. We had a waiter work with us with an ipad looking the the ingredients of all of the dishes and we were unable to find any vegetarian options. They were very kind and very patient. They were not however willing in any way to alter any dishes or work with us to come up with a vegetarian option. Once we realized there were no vegetarian options, we were directed to the one vegetarian option offered in the park in a different restaurant and were pretty much expected to leave. Vegetarians will not be able to eat here, which is a gigantic bummer.

Nice to eat classy food at Disneyland! A treat for mum and dad. Scallop soup was sensational and the trio of brûlée an exceptional dessert. Gumbo main unfortunately was not very gumbo like... more like a chicken cacciatore!

We were a little late for our priority seating, and they kept us waiting... Food was average for the price, though they do have a kids menu. Atmosphere was amazing, so worth going for that.

We went here after seeing it on the Pirates of the Carribean ride. We had to queue for about half an hour to get in, lol. Not too pricey, but more expensive than the rest of the park food. It was delicious though, food is mostly American/French. The atmosphere is awesome and you can watch the boats going past on the ride :D

Cruising along in Pirates of the Carribean sailboats, waiting to meet Jack and be regaled about the joys of piracy, I've always wondered what it must be like to dine at Blue Bayou restaurant (seeing the ride from the other side). This year I finally found out. In Tokyo Disneyland this is classified as one of the higher end restaurants (it will cost you between 3000 to 5000 yen per person) so you go in expecting a lot. One thing it's best not to expect, purely due to logistics, is a prime Pirates viewing location: there are only so many tables next to the river and the vast majority have only a vague view. Still it's nicely lit and quite a romantic setting for a meal, good view of not. My husband and I decided to go all out and eat the special chef's set. This came with unlimited bread in two varieties, unlimited soft drink, tea or coffee, an entree, main and dessert. There were two options for the entree but the main and dessert were set. We both chose the seafood plate for an entree over the soup. It was very fresh and tasty, if a tad underwhelming. The main of fillet steak was perfectly cooked (a beautiful piece of meat done medium rare) with an absolutely divine mushroom sauce and sides The strawberry cheesecake was very sweet but delicious. The waitresses were absolutely suburb and very attentive. We were offered bread and drinks almost immediately after we finished, each and every time. Furthermore our meals were delivered promptly and with a smile. I particularly enjoyed how, after we had finished all our food and despite the line outside the door, our waitress refilled out sodas and did not rush us out the door (if only they had this same policy at all restaurants in Disney parks). Though the meal was by no means cheap it was good food, served with a smile in a prime location. Considering that Tokyo Disneyland cuisine is generally lacking I was very impressed with the quality and would recommend Blue Bayou to anyone who, like me, has ever wondered about Jack Sparrow's favourite meal.
