Always a great meal no matter which country you stop by. Made in house and a delicious selection. Service was great and worth the wait for a table

Din Tai Fung began selling dumplings in Taipei, then spread around Taiwan, then the world. It's been successful because he quality is the same wherever you go. It's best known for its xiao lung bao, which are delicate dumplings fill with piping hot soup. Hsinchu...is in love with Din Tai Fung, the same as the rest of the Treasure IslandMore

Sure it is a chain restaurant and sure rotating tables is what they do best and yes we waited almost 30 min to get in, but I love the efficiency the place is run with and more than anything love the dumplings. It is located...in the lower floor of the department store. We had an excellent spicy beef tripeMore

Went with a group of people and we ordered several different dishes to share. Finished off with the chocolate dumplings. Really tasty and very fresh. Highly recommend.

Wow, is all I can say. This was not my first dumpling experience, but this certainly was the best. I was very impressed with the consistency, the presentation, but ultimately the taste. As one who doesn't eat pork, the waitress was very helpful to point...out the notes on the menu that state which dish has pork, beef, seafood, etc. They have pictures at the bottom of each description in the menu to show. Very impressed. I had shrimp, chicken dumplings as well as Beef noodle soup. While the beef noodle soup was not the best I've tasted in Taiwan, it was still quite good. It's hard to go wrong here with everything I had really, really good. I went for lunch, and noted wait times when people arrived around 12 were astronomical. So, do go slightly before noon.More

Ding Tai Feng is getting so successful these days, and you may find a branch store in several countries/cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Los Angeles, etc. The branch store in HsinChu is at the basement level of the Far Eastern department store....The most famous dishes are the steamed stuffed buns — with different stuffings and flavors. Other dishes (eg noodles, vegetables..) are good too, albeit less famous or special...More

Went here to have a lunch. Ordered similar dishes as what we did in the US. Xiao LU Gao, pork chop, chicken soup and stir fried vegetable. Tasted great, but, somehow, the US ones are still better.

The name says it all. It's Din Tai Fung. If you want to taste the best Xiaolongbao (soup dumpling, steam pork dumpling) in the world, this is the place you must visit. If you have a best dish in the world, all other dishes in...the restaurant are not important anymore. The truth is, most of their dishes are also very delicious. Oh, be aware of long wait in lunch and dinner hours.More

When we arrived there last night, They told us we had to wait 30 minutes but we could sit in the chair at 9:30 after 1 hour 30min. in the evening. If they told us that we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes...from the beginning, we would have gone somewhere. And the food was not very tasteful either. The pork dumpling were too smelly and the amount of food was too small. I do not want to recommend this restaurant to anyone else everMore

I love eating at Din Tai Fung, regardless of where the shop is located. This one is really nice in that on weekdays, you could actually make reservations for lunchtime! No need to wait in line! The service is really swift and friendly. I believe...that when eating here, the more the merrier! The menus are in English, but to order, they give you a checklist to tick off that is only in Chinese! Luckily there are numbers you could match, but don't be surprised if certain numbers are listed, because they only serve the veggies when they are in season. My favorite xialonbaos were the truffle and 絲瓜 (Chinese okra). I also really enjoyed the mini sesame buns. The fun part of eating here with friends is the ability to order a bunch of dishes and try everything! It's all tasty! I think the quality is very similar across the board at all of its chain restaurants. This meal was just as good as when I first discovered Ding Tai Fung back in Seattle and Bellevue, WA.More

I really like soup dumplings! However, I am a foreigner so I can't always read the menus to the hole in the wall restaurant that makes dumplings. So I have taken my friends and family to Din Tai Fung to eat and try the food....It's a great restaurant and there is always a line of people waiting to eat there. The food is a little pricey for what they are being the chain restaurant but I love taking people here and everyone who goes loves the food. My favorite soup dumplings are the chicken ones. I find that it is warm and comforting! The more interesting dumpling that they have on their menu is the chocolate dumpling....which is just one of those things that you just have to try and then share with everyone.More
