Don’t be put off by the outside as you arrive at a row of shops. Once inside you will be in the hands of very friendly and attentive staff who obviously love what they do. What is that? Make you at home and feed you...very very well. There is no point in describing our meal as each customer will make their own choices. Suffice it to say that this hostelry comes highly recommended. Don’t delay, book today. It’s a rare find in an area of mediocrity.More

What a gem amazing food and fantastic staff. No photos of starter as eaten first! The sardines tastied so fresh both our mains were fantastic and finished off with delightful deserts. Highly recommended.

Excellent meal. Alll dishes popping with lingering flavours. Wild mushroom ravioli packed with flavour, toasted walnuts, spinach, roquefort cream- what a marriage! Hake dish and crab cakes wonderful. Topped off with a rhubarb souffle which was as light as a feather and delicious. Friendly attentive...service. No pretensions, just quality and a great price. Can't wait to return. Gets my vote 10/10More

An amazing food experience ruined by rude staff with crude jokes and poor personal hygiene. Starters and mains were truly great, and came out in good time. Shame we didn't fancy dessert after seeing the waiter scratching away enthusiastically.

Absolutely blown away by the food and the service here! Had three courses from the set menu - the soufflé, the ravioli and the chocolate dessert, and my partner had the chicken for main. All dishes were outstanding - so beautifully plated they looked like...works of art, and the flavour combinations were amazing. So well priced, too We were there for dinner on thurs 28th Oct and the four girls on service were unbelievable - so quick, attentive and lovely, working as a perfect team. Thank you so much to everyone at edie’s for making our final evening in Cornwall so perfect!More

Jill and I have eaten at Edie’s Kitchen on many, many occasions and up until now have been reticent to revue on trip advisor for fear that they would become far too busy and we would never get a table. Perhaps it is best if...I start by outlining our credentials that support our view of the title to this review. Jill and I started our married life with opening our first bistro in Malow Buckinghamshire, we went on over 15 years to own three, Marlow, Henley and High Wycombe, so we should know a thing or two about the business. We have been lucky in life and have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world. Jill is a Cordon bleu and was trained by Rosemary Hume at “Winkfield Place”, I just love good food and wine!!! Three years ago we purchased a small place in “Par” Cornwall (we call it “ParBados”) and some two years ago we were recommended to try Edies , as has been mentioned in some of the reviews one should completely ignore the frontage of small shops that Edies is nestled in. What lies within is a gem of a place!! The husband-and-wife duo owners, Kelly and Nigel are the warmest hearted, genuine, hardworking couple I know. Kelly is front of house and Nigel the “wizard” in the open plan Kitchen. To observe the small Kitchen team at their creative best is like watching a beautifully choreographed ballet, it really is, and this adds so much to the fine dining experience. At the heart of the success of Edie’s is partly due to their geographical location in Cornwall, Nigel is able to source the finest, and freshest, seafood in the world. The Cornish beef is to die for having lived its life on rolling fields, full of fresh sea air and lush green pasture. Having said that success can only be achieved if you also have an excellent “front of house team” Kelly provides just that. We have had otherwise delightful meals spoilt by over pretentious front of house at many venues, Kelly and her team of warm, genuine, enthusiastic helpers are just a delight. No matter what you choose from either the fixed price menu or the a ‘la carte you will be stunned at the standard of presentation and the attention to detail. We have eaten most of the dishes on the a ‘la cart and they are truly an absolute revelation. But the addition of daily specials ensure you are never eating the ”same old same old.” Also, a mention has to be made of the fact that always on offer are vegetarian options!! Jill and I are always slightly guarded when suggesting to friends to come and join us at Edies, Jill says don’t “big it up so much” in case they are disappointed. I can honestly say that we have never been! This restaurant is fully justified to have a Michelin star awarded and the lack of which is a travesty. Keep on trucking all at Edies Kitchen.More

We felt pretty confident this was going to be really good when a basket of warm fresh bread was placed on the table before we’d even read the menu! The cheese soufflé starter was perfect, as were the crab cakes. Main of chicken and dauphinoise...potatoes was absolutely delicious; hake on a bed of butter beans and celeriac was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and moist tender fish. We just had room to share a blackberry soufflé with lemon ice-cream. We’ve been on holiday in Cornwall for almost a week and have had great meals in various restaurants - this was probably the best of them all. We will certainly be coming here again on our next holiday. Edie’s Kitchen is particularly handy if you’ve been visiting the Eden Project as it’s only about 3 miles away.More

Visited on a Monday night out of season and it was busy. Would recommend booking. We had the fixed price menu which had excellent local food. An excellent chicken with wild mushrooms, great seafood and a good wine list. Highly recommended - do not be...put off by outside appearance and location. This is a class restaurant.More
