On our day trip we had lunch at the Masada National Park Restaurant. The food was quite ok, especially for a national park. We decided to go for the buffet, which offered a large selection of different dishes. The prices were rather at the lower...end.More
We traveled by bus from Ein Gedi to get to Masada, a 20 minute bus ride. Masada was closed because of the wind and rain. We attempted to come back to Ein Gedi by bus, but the busses had quit running and the road was...closed back. There are no taxis available from Masada. Since the road was closed to the north, we caught a ride with some tourists who were headed back through Jerusalem, a 4 hour drive. We arrived at the north entrance to Ein Gedi and that road was also closed. We had no where to go for the night and it was cold and rainy. The checkpoint soldiers were not helpful and told us to just sit in the rain and wait for the road to open. We finally got back to Ein Gedi at 1 am, tired, cold, hungry. There was no food avaialbe.More
Amazing historical place. Really worth to visit: you will learn so much about heroic people, about building technique 18-19 centuries ago that exist even today; enjoy an amazing view of the Dead Sea .
The entrance quite organized.
There used to be a number of good restaurants here, including MacDonalds and Pizza Hut. The two that are left to care for the massive groups do not really care about service or quality. It is expensive and not very tasty. They need to get...some variety back.More
After going to the ancient site on the top f the mountain , I came back in awe and wonder at the courage and sacrifice of those who resisted the Romans and ultimately gave their lives .
I’m not sure after being up there and...hearing the stories if I deserved lunch .
However lunch was great an Israeli buffet , plenty of variety and plenty of it and really well prepared, I’d go back there in a flash.More
The restaurant at the site is the only place to get some food and whilst there were three counters selling different food it was mass catering at its worse; even a sandwich was overpriced and wet. The hot food was just piled on the plate...and was tasteless. I'd recommend taking a packed lunch.More
Expansive and clean self-serve restaurant with numerous options, this is a great place to grab something to eat or drink after an exhilarating adventure at Masada. We opted for take out from the attached deli area. One of the few, if not only, food availability...options within the vicinity.More
Always excited to visit Masada National Park which includes the stores and of course the Restaurant. Location is perfect, the food tasty and service wonderful. Will be back again to enjoy all that this National Park has to offer soon!
