Lobster house is famous for their grilled lobster. It was cooked to perfection with lots of spices! My husband had Seafood Alfredo which was also a great dish. Laid back atmosphere, casual dress, with friendly/quick service.
First, let me say that my lobster was enjoyable. It was fresh and garlicky- as requested. I even watched them bring it in from the kid they bought it from... no one else had that experience. My dining partner asked for blackened lobster and they...provided lobster with a pineapple chutney to try and cover up the old, tough lobster. The table of French-speaking travelers next to us had a worse experience! They had tough lobster and piles of nondescript seafood they didn't order. I think part of this would have been ok if we hadn't had to pay 20mil colones (approx. $35 USD) for each lobster.... Unfortunately not worth it.🦞More
We were recommend by several people to go to a couple of the big tourist restaurants but walked by here and it looked great. So happy we stopped. Everything we had was fantastic. Started with the tar tar and plantains. Delicious. Have the table for...lobster and half for pasta. All were awesome. Could not have asked for a better meal. Open air, mariachis, strong drinks. Fantastic nightMore
Met new friends and we all came here for supper together..ordered the special of the day..lobster stuffed with every seafood offered..we ordered 1 to share..they brought 2. Althought it was eaten it was costly and maybe a deliberate mistake. Can't complain about the quality of...the food as it was delicious. Great fun was had listening to traveling mariachi band and laughs with new friends. Would be 4 stars had they not messed up our order..More
Had a group of 12 people stop here for lunch. Had a variety of meals, from lobster and fish to nachos. Service was great, and asked often if we needed anything else, and would get it quickly. Every meal was excellent, except the nachos, which...is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Very little meat on there, and bad processed cheese. Other than that, we really enjoyed it. Great place to eat.More
Where to start? We are not picky people or picky eaters. Reviews had all looked good and we were excited for our first vacation meal out. Drinks came late or not at all. We had to ask and re-ask for my friend’s margarita 3 times...and her son never did get his own drink after a 90 minute meal. The house white wine was so oxidized I think it was technically rotten. The ceviche was good (plus!). Everything else was very very overcooked and bone dry (this is a crime when it comes to lobster in Canada!)
The service was just awful but the staff seemed oblivious to this fact as they were polite but never apologetic. It was almost as though they thought these were normal service standards? I would not recommend this place or ever go back. I wonder if it is past its prime or perhaps under new management since its previous reviews.More
The place was recommended by the owner of the dive center and on our last night we went for dinnen. Mojito as apero (somewhat watery), lobster and a bottle of white wine. Lobster was excellent, the white good. Service was ok but a bit pushy.
