A must visit destination

Rivermouth cafe is a slice of heaven. Service was 11/10 with the nicest staff serving healthy and delicious food and drinks- (Highly recommend their fresh juices) in the beautiful garden area. We finished our dining experience feeling replenished and very impressed. Our fur child was welcomed too. This cafe is a MUST visit for travellers and locals alike and the nearby beaches are majestic. We will be back at Rivermouth cafe asap. Do yourself a favour and come here!

Great little general store

Great little general store & cafe with a lovely outdoor area. We had breakfast and the scrambled eggs on toast was delicious with a nice cappuccino. The fruit toast with honey was delicious as well. Can wholeheartedly recommend this venue for breakfast.

A fabulous find

My husband and I headed east, after a visit to Mogo Wildlife Park, in search of somewhere for a late lunch. We drove past the Rivermouth, where several people were eating outside, turned around and were so glad we did. Our freshly made juices were great and our meals were fresh, generous and delicious. We can't wait to go back next time we our holidaying down that way.

Inattentive staff.

Inattentive staff. Am local and always support local businesses. This place needs an overhaul. Ordered breakfast with tea and coffee. Specifically asked for the hot drinks to be served with food. Hot drinks arrived. Waited another20 mins after that. Still no food. Saw that other people that came way after us had already been served. When enquires made regarding whereabouts of our food. The girl who took the order just walked away The man said he would check with the kitchen. Kitchen staff just said give them their money back. We wasted another morning here. This is not the first time this has happened here. You have now lost another local customer. We waited almost 40 mins for nothing. Pick your game up. You can’t keep treating people this way. By the way if you clear tables, please clean and disinfect afterwards. So unclean.

Not so bad but no wow factor

Very limited menu. A bit slow to serve us after we had ordered but it was fairly pleasant sitting in the garden area waiting for our order. Surprised how long it took for 2 egg and bacon rolls to be made, especially when other customers who had arrived after us ended up being served their orders long before us.

Dog friendly cafe but with a twist. Whilst you can review their menu online when you actually visit you will encounter a limited black board menu with no prices. Based on reviews we visited for lunch and discovered that the food available to their menu was different. When I asked why the response was That is all we have today? When I asked about how do I know how much ANYTHING was he started to say that all these things on the menu are $$ and extra for this and that? Sorry but it’s actually an illegal practice to operate a food business this way and I just walked out in disbelief. So buyer beware!

Best coffee

If you love your coffee this is the place to visit if you are in the area. Good outdoor seating for doggies too. My partner says this was the best bacon and egg roll he has EVER had and trust me he has had a few 🤣. Good range on the menu including vegan options. There is also a 24/7 dog friendly beach nearby.

Excellent food and service

Had a great book club get together here today and most impressed by the fresh and tasty food, great selection, good coffee, and good service. Sorry I did not put my head in the door on the way out to thank you personally…..we will be back.

Great place for a coffee and quick bite

Small cafe with lots of outside seating in beautiful Tomakin just a stones throw from many beaches. This quaint little cafe serve lovely brunch type food and make their own pies and in-house salads, sandwiches, fresh juices and sweet things. A Family oriented cafe with lovely food and great coffee too. This little gem isn't open on Tuesdays but who can blame them for that, you have to take a break sometime!

I hadn’t been for over a year and the food just isn’t the same as when I used to go regularly, quite underwhelming for what you pay for now. The fresh juice was nice though.

Loved that they had proper chai lattes and even though there weren't a lot of GF and DF options they were very accommodating and were able to adjust the meals. It had a very relaxed atmosphere and the serving sizes where quite large. I would come back just for the chai latte if nothing else
