Even if i did not met the couple, they amazed me. Businessmen puts up business to gain profit, but the ownèr-couple to gain profit is just secondary. Perhaps their primary goal is to uphold honesty, and remind everyone to become rich in honesty. Congratulations! Your...business is God-inspired. God bless the owners.More

The first time I visited this famous coffee shop in Ivana (14 years ago!) it looked simpler and more rustic. Today it has been a bit "modernized," with more space inside and other structures around it. However, one thing has not changed: it still relies...on people's honesty for its income. You get whatever you want, drop your payment in the designated box, and that's it. I bought some souvenir t-shirts this time when I visited it again. I heard that there's a corresponding Honesty Store in the town proper of Basco. I haven't visited it yet. At any rate, this coffee shop in Ivana is the original one. Just a few steps from it you'll find the Ivana seaport (where you take a boat to go to Sabtang Island) and the late 18th-century church of Saint Joseph the Worker.More

This place shows how Batanes is different from any other place in the PH. Please don't expect too much from the shop as it has limited menu and merchandise. It's actually more like a convenience store where you can snacks and souvenirs from.

Speaks for itself. No servers, just come in have coffee, eat, everything is self-service, list what you had, and just leave money in a box.

They sell souvenirs (keychains, foods, shirts, ref magnet, and others). Honesty, put the money on the box and get your change in the counter. We just bought souvenirs and did not dine in. P.S. There's a lot of souvenir shops in Batanes, try to check...it.More

Besides coffee, they sell cookies and seaweed chips. I have to be honest, the seaweed chips are delicious! But the cookies ( ube, banana, kamote) are not.

honesty seems to work because the shelves and racks are full; my wife loaded up on t shirts for friends and relatives at P180 each. No one else seemed to appreciate the irony of an honesty coffee shop serving 3 in 1

Nice little coffee shop that sells drinks and a small variety of home-made cookies in small packing (3-4 pcs within). During my visit before noon, it was crowded but no one is drinking coffee. They were busy looking at T-shirts (quite a good collection although...the quality varies) and admiring at the things on display. One just have to record what he or she buy and drop the money (no change) into the box as it is all self-service. So it is indeed honesty that matters.More

The shop will offer you all kinds of commodities seen in a mini grocery in a rural setting + souvenirs. And it is the reflection of what kind of people the Ivatan were. The values and Culture implanted upon them is amazing! that to be...honest to one self is to do something good when no one is listening or watching over you.More

I was told about this place by my in laws but didn’t really expect to be so impressed. Even though they do have staff to give you change if needed the onus is one you to be honest and write down what you bought and...also take correct change. Not sure it would work in many places in world but seems to working fine here. I would highly recommend you purchase their baked goods that are made locally. They were so yummyMore
