A store that lets you buy coffee, souvenir items, and food and leave the payment and just write it down in the logbook. That's real honesty for you. Located in Ivana, Batanes it is very near the docking port of boats going to and from the island of Sabtang.

This place is more of a store than a coffee shop, they sell variety products such as souvenirs, local foods/snacks,there's also buko juice at the back and surprisingly, there's motorcycle available for rental. You can also rent the traditional Ivatan stuffs for picture taking, like the headdress (Vakul for women and talugong for men) and Yuvuk which is the woven basket used by farmers. The store... A variety store from pasalubong, coffee shop, and any other things can be bought in an ordinary sari-sari store. Have your exact payment ready, or donate your change as tip.

This is part of the South Batan Tour which is popular for not being manned. Though when we went there, there was a girl present. This is near Ivana Port so you could also drop by when you return from Sabtang. You could buy your souvenirs there like shirts, keychains, ref magnets, cookies, bread etc. You could also try their... It is a quaint little souvenir and food shop. The requirement of honestly in paying is a novelty. Although if you do require change, there are people there to assist. HAHAHA. Good for a short visit and you can do your photo-opps for free :)

Stop over for coffee and pasalubong. They sell carrot, camote, turmeric, pineapple butter cookies. This coffee shop operates on an honesty system. We just list down the items we bought and just slid payment inside the wooden box.

It is indeed rare to see a coffee shop and souvenir store quite unmanned and transaction is just based on trust. No CCTV in here. no air conditioner. Pick items such as souvenir shirts, key chains among others. Sachets of different coffee 3 in 1 types , different types of packed cookies ( camote variant is my favorite) and the... More

Beautiful little coffee shop near the port that epitomizes the entire spirit of Batanes: Honesty, simplicity and trust. Its totally unmanned-all prices are put up and they trust you to pay for what you take! It is a must visit-just to know there is so much good in the world. And they also have lovely souvenirs!

Honesty coffee shop is more than that. It is a store that relies on your values to run it smoothly. Batanes is known for their honesty and trustworthiness. You can leave your doors open without others sneaking in. Even your carabaos, cows, horses, goats, pigs, bicycles or personal belongings, you will feel safe that they will nab it from you.... More

The Honestly Coffee Shop is, yes, nothing more than a sari-sari store but it validated my belief that people can be honest and good. Be sure to drop by to take a photo or buy any of the items they offer. I got a pack of malunggay cookies for P50 pesos and in exchange got lots of hope and photos.
