This place is always jam-packed with both Japanese and locals.
I love all the dishes served. This is just beside South Supermarket Sta Rosa.
Parking is quite difficult during evening, I suggest you to park either at South Supermarket parking or Paseo Sta Rosa (just across the street).
One of my favorites is the mochi ice cream (a must try!).

Budget friendly and good quality food. Many Japanese nationals eat at this restaurant, so I guess it’s pretty authentic! 👍

The whole family love their food! There’s a lot to order and the ones we tried are all good and there’s more to try on our next visit. Our favorites are Katsu Curry (must try!), All Makis — california maki, futomaki, spicy salmon maki etc — are also good! Up to Their desserts — mochi ice cream (all flavors: red bean matcha, ube, matcha, choco)—- are so good!

The food is very nice as well as the other staff. Except this one server name RONAN who is very unbecoming and so arrogant. A little guy with hot temper. I hope he will undergo customer care again or better to transfer him in a position that he will not deal with the customer.

I discovered this place through Tripadvisor and seeing the high ratings and positive evaluations of the place, I decided to try it out with some friends. We initially had a hard time looking for it because the online maps of the area were not updated. Besides, the restaurant was not well lit on the outside. At any rate, Ippon Yari is located just right across Paseo. It looks small from the outside, but it's quite big inside, with 4-5 private rooms (with sunken tables) and a couple of large common dining areas, plus a sushi bar. The menu has a very good selection of authentic Japanese dishes. We ordered all our favorite dishes ... sushi sashimi, gyoza, tempura, ramen, etc. ... and they all tasted great! Service was also fast and the waiters were very courteous. We were surprised when we got our bill for it was much much less than what we expected. I would have given this restaurant a five-star rating if only it was properly lit from the outside (making it easy to locate) and if there was a bigger parking lot for its customers. Anyway, this is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Laguna! Try it out! :D

If you want to experience an authentic Japanese cooking you have to try Ippon Yari. I like the most Tempura!
But there are lots of variety. California Maki is a must try

You simply see many Japanese inside the restaurant. That simply makes it great. But I find it not so expensive compared with others around the area.

Came here with friends. Saw lots of Japanese eating here. They offer lits of package menu so we took one. Our menu had sashimi, tempura, noodle, beef and dessert. Food were authentic, tasted good and moderately priced.

Japanese cuisine that is positioned higher than others in the same area. Food quality is high, and cost is a bit higher too, but worth it, from my experience.
Order from any of their many bento menus which are priced at 500, 400 and 300.
The 500 variety includes options for shogayaki / ebi tempura combo, and ebi chili / katsuni / sanma yaki combo.
I strongly recommend one bento that we often take - yakiniku / mixed tempura / saba shioyaki. This comes with 3 side dishes and miso soup.
Quite a heavy meal. Worth a return for sure.

One of the most authentic Japanese restaurant in the area. Lots of dishes to choose from which is actually hard. It's like a 1 stop Japanese restaurant. We were the only locals eating in the restaurant when we went there for lunch on a weekday. Restaurant was packed with Japanese men. Probably coming from nearby companies.

Stopped by for an early dinner. Service is okay, just a bit unorganized. Lots of Japanese workers come in for their lunch break and for dinner, so you know the food is authentic. Don't expect high end or fancy food. It is very good value for your money.

It is well worth climbing the stairs to this restaurant offering a wide range of Japanese dishes. We have visited a few times and never been disappointed. you can only get real sushi and sashimi in a Japanese restaurant and theirs is fresh. I particularly like their Ramen dishes especially on a cool evening. Prices are reasonable.

Ippon Yari Japanese Restaurant in Sta. Rosa is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants. If we have special activities especially audits, I would always choose Ippon yari... because their bento lunch has very good combination and they cook and prepare the food well. I love their misu soup. But my most favorite food is their gyoza. Sometimes in special family occasion, I would bring my family for lunch there.
