We visited on a hot summer August day and being Greek myself the place reminded of my grandma's food. Traditional greek food, the Corfiot pastitsada was amazing but do ask the owner and he will guide you. The shade was so refreshing, the village was...so nice and calm during siesta time. Just great. Small tip: give him a call in advance to ensure there will be gfood and place as it could get busy.More

Lovely and cozy place. Family works together. Tasty food, fresh and delicious plates. Service very nice and always with attention to the client. Just in the city centre little square town, under the trees, you´ll feel Greece for real.

Outdoor dining in the village square. Delicious lunch of cheese and spinach pie, the best we had on the holiday, moussaka and fresh Greek salad. A pleasant place to lunch in a quiet village. Parking was easy in the village carpark 3- 5 minute walk...from the taverna.More

Had a Greek salad for lunch which was lovely, however the moussaka in the evening was poor -too much top and not enough meat. Service was too quick, they brought our main courses before we had finished the starters. Also the waiter did not write...down our order and got several things wrongMore

Lovely lunch in a quiet town; portions were typically Corfiot - that's to say huge - and delicious. Chicken souvlaki for the better half, beef pastitsada for me. Good coffee, cold Fanta, lovely food - what's not to like?

Great food in a small village, high on a hillside. A family- run business, Kirios Doukas' establishment is a treasure. He is a most engaging and helpful host, always good to suggest what is the best meal. He doesn't exaggerate, some of his food is...sublime. We had stifado, mousaka and pastisada all of which just melted in the mouth and were beautifully cooked. The taverna is by the roadside, but as this is a relatively quiet village it makes little impact. Kirios Doukas' taverna has a good reputation in the wider area, always a good sign.More

We stayed in the sweet village of Doukades and went to Doukas 6 times in two weeks. The people working there are so welcoming and friendly, it was like we were meeting old friends. The food was really delicious, for me even better as the...well known ‚Elizabeths’ next door. If you want to dine somewhere with the best service, go here.More

Welkomed by our smiley and friendly host, we have enjoyed a lovely lunch right at the courtyard of this tiny sleepy village in the afternoon sun. Complete with elderly men sitting in the shadow on a bench by the church and a lone barking dog....Work and life in Holland seem light years away from here!More

Three of us were travelling from Donkey Rescue Centre to Sidari and came across this delightful taverna. Very friendly staff, some wonderful items on the menu, including baked feta, with tomatoes and peppers, which was a delicious starter. Very reasonable prices.
