Legit Japanese Cuisine. Ambience is on point and service is superb. I will definitely go back and bring more friends, family and officemates here. Food is 5/5, Service 5/5, there’s also an ample parking space outside.

We are around 13 in a group and I only managed to take one photo of the food that we ordered! 🤣 Anyway, the food is good and the staff are all accommodating. I will definitely dine here again if I ever pass by Calamba.

It is so unlikely to.find a great Japanese joint in the South, but Ippon Yari changes that mindset.
The ambiance alone is a sure appetizer! With Godzilla, and other anime characters hanging from the ceiling, you'll find yourself wanting for more Japanese.
Great place to visit, you will see it immediately after exiting Calamba on the left side, just veside Padis point!

We decided, on this particular day, to take a little drive to Calamba, Laguna for lunch. Trip took us about 35 minutes to this Japanese place just a few kilometers from SLEX Calamaba Exit B, Ipponyari Eamen House.
Stepping into the restaurant and i'm instantly reminded of Kikufuji in Little Tokyo, Makati. Price-wise, it's a bit similar as well. We especially loved the Salmon Skin Roll and the Yasai Itame. The Tendon was a little underwhelming for me only because they were a little thrifty on the sauce. Their Mabo Tofu was great as well. I say this place is worth driving to Calamba for. 👍

Jap food lovers must try this restaurant and would definitely be awed with its authenticity. Tempura and sashimi are great and fresh. Complimentary green tea is served also! Two thumbs up.

I don't eat Japanese food, but in here, I really love their gyoza and chahan. Not so expensive nor cheap.

I am a frequent diner at the RSM whether in Real Calamba or Bacnotan, they had room good for 20-30 people with Karaoke. Food is good as usual but a little bit pricey. I love their pasalubong corner where I could buy their toasted pastillas, yummy!
I still look forward to visit in this place, bulalo, binalot, laing, tuna belly are some of their best dishes to offer and recommended to those who are food lovers. Enjoy!

I am a resident of Calamba City and have been eyeing this restaurant for quite a while. On my birthday, I decided to take my family here so we could finally try it. On the first attempt to order, the wait staff informed us that our choices (noodles and tempura) were not available at the time. I then asked for a few more minutes to revise our choices and to my dismay, gyudon was also out of stock. At the very least, they could have informed first the customer upon giving the menu that some items were not available. It could have saved us some time.
If I were to settle with only what’s available on the menu, what’s the point of trying out their restaurant? Very horrible for a first impression. So we left.
In case anyone from Ippon Yari happens to read this: Just out of curiosity, do you reserve the aforementioned items (noodles, gyudon and tempura) to prioritize your Japanese customers? That’s so terrible.

Ipponyari
Dear YetSomoza,
Good day.
I sincerely apologize for what you and your family experienced, especially on your birthday.
Since the beginning of this week, our branches have gone through massive shortages of imported ingredients such as Noodles and Tempura, due to the extreme delay of shipment from Japan. Though we have done everything we could to prolong our inventory, many of our items hit the bottom yesterday, forcing us to operate with some of our major items being out of stock. The shipment was delivered just this morning, and the inventory has been brought back to its normal level as of this writing.
Regarding your inquiry, we do not discriminate our guest or staff based on their nationality, social status or anything else for that matter. So please be assured that it is not in our practice to give special treatment to a particular guest at the cost of others, regardless if they are Japanese or not.
Nevertheless, it is my greatest regret that you and your family had an unpleasant experience with us. If you don't mind, allow me to contact you through this page to assist you accordingly.
Sincerely,
Jun Fukuro

Had the ramen, the taste was not really good. The server looked very sad and depressed. After I sat down, she just came over passed a menu without any eye contact or smile. Made me feel very miserable and unwelcome, as if I gatecrashed their party.
Noticed they treated Japanese guests very differently, with smiles and bows..
Maybe I looked local to them.
Will definitely not be coming back.

Dear Jimmy,

As for the service you received, while we do not tolerate any form of discrimination in our store, we are deeply sorry if we made you feel as you have been treated less that what it would have been.
Having received this feedback, the store manager of the branch and I will be conducting reassessment of our staffs' service quality, as well as their overall aptitude towards work, so as to improve our services. We hope you could put your trust again in us. Should you wish to provide further feedback, please feel free to let me know at jun.ipponyari@gmail.com.

I have to say that this restaurant is one of my favourites because the food they serve is some of the best Japanese food in the area. However, each time I visit, I find that the service is deteriorating. In my latest dinner there (last night), I had to wait for the server for 15 mins just to get my order in! I noticed that this is because the servers avoided eye contact with guests and preferred to stand around near kitchen. But it gets worse... on my way out the door, a server said, "At last!", as if the staff are quite happy that I was finally leaving the restaurant. It's so passive aggressive and disgusting!
Just a tip: next time servers do not want to wait on customers, just tell customers to leave. We can eat and take your potential income elsewhere.

This restaurant serves good, authentic, sumptuous, affordable Japanese food. The servings are enough to make you appreciate Japanese cuisine. I especially love their Ebi Tempura, sashimi, Nagasaki Jampong, and Tori Karaage. Even their Eda Mame is super refreshing. I especially love their ambiance and the service as well. There are more Japanese customers than Filipinos--just enough to make you realize that, indeed, this place is for real!

treated my friends for a belated birthday celebration at this restaurant since we all love japanes food. and when we like it authentic, this is the place to go to at calamba city, laguna. we ordered for our lunch our bowls of ramen (we usually have it split as one serving satisfies two :), salmon and tuna sashimi, maki, tempura, and the spicy tuna salad(?)/sashimi which is very oishi! love it that we even ordered additional servings :). this place never disappoints. when in calamba & you crave japanes food, this is the place to be. Just be sure you know that it opens and serves lunch 11am-2pm and dinner at 6pm-10pm :).

My hosts took me too their favourite restaurant and it met expectations. I had the sashimi special for the day and the tuna was incredibly fresh. One other treat was the seaweed- incredibly fresh, juicy, and tasty.
