A Michelin they want to be, yet after dinner served cold tea. The waitress scoffs, for declining wine doesn't fill their pockets with pound signs. The food a mediocre faire; Scallops sure to make Ramsey swear, and taste-buds somewhat unsatisfied by cod unseasoned and scarcely...fried. Reasonable if not for the fee, and mandatory gratuity.More

Some what exclusive and very upmarket. Delicious food - this is actually the Boringdon Hall Acleaf restaurant that I've reviewed already

We had several servers, all of whom were friendly. But service did not feel professional or knowledgable enough for the experience the Gallery/A'cleaf seems to be aiming for. I asked a couple of questions about the menu that couldn't be answered, wine I ordered for...the steak course came out before I had even started the cocktail I'd ordered downstairs, empty glasses sat on the table throughout the entire meal and there was some confusion about who had ordered what. I was disappointed to see that my friend's pre-drink glass was once again dirty! And once again, I asked the server for a clean drink and she simply poured the fouled drink (black bits on the inside of the glass and floating in the drink) into a new glass. I think a new dishwasher is needed! Partway through our meal, someone lit a fire in the woodburner downstairs and soon the entire room was engulfed in choking smoke! All the windows had to be opened as servers used menus to fan smoke out and we sat shivering through two courses. The food was decently cooked and presented, but not excellently, and portion sizes were a little inconsistent, with my friend's plates all seeming much more generous than mine. His birthday was only acknowledged with a scrawled message from the chef on a bit of card we'd been asked to fill out earlier with some cryptic questions about our favourite shapes and seasons (I think) that determined what pre-dessert we were to be served. He did come out and visited a few tables, but not ours.More

This is genuinely a work of art. Some of the best food I have eaten, service is excellent, dishes are explained to you. It is worth choosing something that you would not usually go for - some of the accompanying sauces are truly special.

Easily the best non-Michelin starred restaurant I have been to. Everything was absolutely top notch, the service, the atmosphere, the food, everything!

We had a wonderful evening at The Gallery for my birthday celebration. We opted for the 5 course taster menu and everything we tried was amazing. It was more like 8 courses after the canapés, amuse Bouche and petit fours. Everything was divine, I couldn’t...fault anything. The waiting staff was incredible and were so knowledgable about the dishes and their recommendations were so helpful. Very much worth it for a special occasion.More

Plaudits to the kitchen at this wonderful restaurant. Stayed at the hotel and dined in the Gallery on two consecutive nights. The food is excellent and the wait staff ensure that all your needs are met. A most pleasure able experience. I will most definitely...go again.More

Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Really appreciated be fact they had a separate vegan menu with lots to choose from rather than the usual of 1 poorly thought out dish many restaurants serve!

I didn’t see a vegan menu, but I can’t eat gluten and when asked about the menu was always told what I could eat so I am sure you will be catered for. To be certain I’d suggest a quick call.
