Great place, view of the Marina outside
Seafood platter for 2 (€80) copious, fresh with touches of originality (Coconut mussels). The place is pleasant, you can eat indoors in a beautiful, cozy room with a view of the kitchens but without the smells.
The service is pleasant; Abil is particularly attentive in giving good advice. Smiling and efficient.
The little extra practicality: right next to the Ferry, parking spaces on the street next to the restaurant.

Warm welcome, amazing kindness. The waiter went out of his way to recommend the "freshest" dish of the day: 1 mixed fish with freshly caught turbot for 2. Cooked and cooked very well. Linguine and spaghetti, better to ask for the large portion (20 instead of 16 euros). Taken, as a second course, is the fried fish for 2 (in reality it is suggested as an appetizer): plentiful and presented together with a very tasty sauce. 2 waters and a glass of white. I am writing to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had during our recent visit. We were a table of seven, and unfortunately, the service and food quality did not meet the high standards we have come to expect .
To begin with, our waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu and was unable to explain basic items, such as what a Gorgonzola sauce is. This lack of knowledge was surprising and concerning. Additionally, when we ordered the ribeye, we were disappointed to find that a significant portion of it was fat, making it difficult to enjoy the dish.
When we asked for grilled chicken breast, we were told it was not available. However, shortly after, we ordered chicken breaded sticks for one of the children, only to be served chicken breast cut into strips. This inconsistency was confusing and frustrating, especially since we were specifically told that chicken breast was not available.
To top off the unsatisfactory meal, we ordered cannoli for dessert, which turned out to be extremely dry. This was very disappointing, as we were looking forward to ending our meal on a sweet note.
Lastly, when it came time to pay, we were not asked if everything was satisfactory, which added to the overall sense that our concerns were not valued.
It is truly unfortunate that such a reputable restaurant, known for its high standards, would deliver such a disappointing experience.

you should consider removing your review not because it's damaging the restaurant's reputation but because it screaming out loud that you are not accustomed to upmarket restaurants. You have made me sit and run the CCTV from the moment you stepped into the restaurant till the moment you left so see what went on.
Your review is really destructive. You visited in an off-peak time between lunch and dinner and you were treated like royalty. The servers and the supervisor could not do more for you and your guests. They were even having a light fun moment with your kids at table.
The server taking your order happened to be a French girl and I can assure you that not only she knows what is a Gorgonzola sauce, she knows how to do it ! You misinterpreted completely what she said (or pretended to). She said we do not have Gorgonzola sauce on the menu. Now let's assume she did not know what is the sauce, why is she expected to know what is a food item if it's not on the menu ?
The staff are trained on the featured menu and not for your inventions outside the menu. There are 3 sauces on the menu, why do you want to play smart and ask for a sauce that is not listed on the menu ?
The rib-eye has to have an eye of fat, if it's not there it will be cheap rib-eye that one can use to shred for a beef wrap. Yes, we can come across a piece of rib-eye with a larger eye than usual. You could have easily pointed this out and we'll fire another one right away.
RE chicken breast, you are correct about the kids meal. We have a typo on the kids menu and the word 'breaded' needs to be removed.
However the strips you got for the child are not the types we will serve to an adult. If you read the menu, you would notice that there is a chicken caesar salad on the menu. But again, there is a vast menu, why do you need to order items that are not on the menu !
RE Cannolo - it is a broken cannolo. I cannot understand how this can be dry. Most probably I am misinterpreting your message.
How can your concerns be valued when you did not utter a word at the outlet but resorted to your device after you left the restaurant because you did not have the decency to being anything up with the team on site ?
The team is trained to make it right and would have went all the way to fully satisfy your request and leave the restaurant happy rather than opening a fresh Tripadvisor account to play smart here.

This is the third time we’ve been to this restaurant and for the second time in a row we were really disappointed by the food. I cannot remember our starters but both our main courses were very disappointing! My whole fish was not cleaned properly from the inside - and before the manger and owner responds, yes it was a fish on the bone but that has nothing to do with failure to remove all of the blood and internal organs-which is a terrible mistake to make and it was also partially undercooked! My wife had a tagliata steak, this was also undercooked but the biggest faux pas was the sweet glaze that it had been doused with, which was not described on the menu and was the perfect way to ruin a steak! One of our accompaniments was mashed potatoes which tasted as if it was made from powder rather than fresh potatoes.
When the waitress cleared our table she just asked us if we were finished but did not even ask why I’d only eaten about half my fish.
The ambience at 180 Mgarr is ok, the service ok but the food is really unacceptable.

It is very rare I adopt this approach with a client. We are a customer-oriented organization and go all the way to meet and exceed a client's expectation, however I too have my limits.
I have been following your visits and feedback since year 2020.
Every time you visit my restaurants you seem to always have something to complain about, do you.
That’s fine by us, we give value to genuine constructive feedback because it helps us fine tune anything that needs addressing.
But in your case it’s always destructive so no weight is being given and I’m not going to even share your feedback with my team.
Telling followers on here to "Avoid" from behind a device is unbelievable.
In November 2020 you rated my Mellieha restaurant low because it was still empty because you showed up off-peak time. Pathetic.
In February 2021 you rated also my Mellieha restaurant low on service, we sent you an email for feedback, we never heard from you. Most importantly is that you submitted a low rating.
In October 2023 you complained about the main courses at my Gozo restaurant and that you burnt your finger with a Crème Brulee dish.
You received an apology on the spot, your main courses were removed from the bill (which you do not mention in your review, obviously you only write what you want to write).
I even wrote to you personally and again you ignored my communication. Most importantly is that you rated the restaurant low.
Your latest review here with a 2-star ratring, again about the main courses.
You opt to hide behind your device which does not resolve anything. Why did you not bring up with the team member that you were not fully satisfied ? The team is trained to take action on the spot.
If the server did not ask if all was ok about the food it means we did not filter that you were not satisfied with something. Most probably it was not half left as you stated !
Show us proof, photos what you left on the plates. We go through tonnes of fresh fish and ‘kumbinazzjoni’ we always fall short with your fish !
When we start preparing our mash potatoes from powder I will close down the restaurant myself.
If you really want to submit genuine feedback there are several channels to reach us.
Your feedback is not worth anyone’s time. You seem to enjoy logging in your Tripadvisor account and destroy a business reputation.
You should know better especially since I know that you also run a business yourself.
One simple question, if your visits are all so doom and gloom, why do you keep coming back ?!
Please do not return, we will get the mains wrong again or might serve you a cold Creme Brulee not to burn your finger or a fresh fish with some scales.
Stick to your review title here and do not come back, go to the other better restaurants as you claim and do us all a favour.
Ther are thousands of licensed restaurants on the Maltese Islands, why do you keep coming back here if there is always a flaw ?

Dear team from one80,
we had a wonderful and delicious dinner in a prime location right on the port of Mgarr. We were lucky to get a table without reservation. My partner and I shared deep-fried seafood and some spring rolls as a great starter for 2 people. Both the food and the cocktail were excellent and delicious. The service was excellent, which was mainly due to our waiter Ansari. He was extremely courteous and polite and always open to questions.
Feel free to visit the restaurant if you want to enjoy good food in a great location.

The restaurant is very busy to the extent we run out of food items. We produce desserts on a daily basis. I'm thinking the base crust of the tart came in contact with the tray condensation inside the refrigerator and softened the dough.
The French girl has only been on board for one week and is still on training, perhaps it's the reason why you felt the service on the stiff side since she's still a bit nervous settling in. She just needs more time which we gladly allow her to come in line.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here as a couple.
It's a good restaurant, lots of food, only friendly staff, good recommendations. We shouldn't have had a starter and we also had to do without the bread that they brought us at the beginning because the fish platter for two was so rich that it was impossible to eat it all. A warning would have been appropriate.
When the restaurant fills up, the noise level goes up. That's normal, in most restaurants it's cushioned by carpets, curtains, etc. That's difficult here because of the glass house. But you have an excellent view of the marina and the ferry terminal.

One80 Kitchen at Mgarr Yacht Marina Gozo is a fantastic spot. The manager, in her silk cappuccino shirt, runs a tight ship, and the waitstaff, dressed sharp, provide excellent service.
The prawn linguine is a standout dish, full of flavor. Don't skip on a cup of tea afterward; they have a good selection.
The view over the harbor is stunning, with clear water perfect for watching fish swim by. Quietly tucked on the other side of the busy hustling and busting Gozo ferry drop off - a quick walk form the terminal but far enough to be completely peaceful!

The amazingly friendly service will be the first thing you will notice as you enter the restaurant and are guided to your table. On this occasion we were served by Vina and she took good care of us throughout our time there, meticulously describing the dishes on offer and often checking to make sure wee had everything we needed. The food was very good in both presentation and flavour. I certainly recommend this place as a top 10 contender for the more discerning diner on the island of Gozo.

On our holiday we booked One80 twice for dinner, the choice and quality of food was very good. Only the veggie burger did not meet our taste. We were served by Vina/Abil very accommodating. The views of the harbour and the facilities of the restaurant are top. We will come back again👍

A lovely relaxed day in Gozo, before we came back to Malta, we stopped at the One80 Mgarr...we did not eat much during the day on purpose so we will be hungry. We were greeted by Lula and we could choose were to sit as some tables were in the sun or shade. Food did not take long to come and both me and my wife enjoyed the ribye and the Tagliata, roast potatoes were beautiful cooked also the roast veg. which accopanied our meat in the plate. Dessert we shared the tradional trife and we could hardly finish it as the portion was big. All in all food was great and service I would rate it 5 Star...Lula and Aleksander made sure that we had a nice and relaxed time at the restaurant while in tje same time enjoying also the the non stop movements of the harbour

A great restaurant looking out over the harbour, excellently decorated and presented well. Tables were well spaced out with plenty of room for our party of six. We were made welcome from the start (despite being a group of six lads) by Susie and the team, and the service had an extra special tone. Every member of service staff who approached conveyed an infectious enthusiasm for their job, which stood out to us compared with similar establishments. This created a warm atmosphere and our table had the added bonus of being next to the glass-fronted kitchen, so plenty of action to see! The food/menu itself was also very good, catering for our group's mixed tastes, with lots of seafood but also other options for those who wanted something else. Overall we felt it was excellent value for money and would return in a heartbeat, definitely the best of the restaurants we tried along the harbour.

chosen this restaurant, to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, we found a very nice clean environment with views right on the marina, more than great service, "Vina" is "Jovan" they followed us throughout dinner, Jovan was very professional is very attentive to our requests, present but not intrusive, really good, "Jovan" really very nice! Quality price ok, you immediately notice that it is not something "commercial" but it is a top level restaurant, finally thank you for the nice evening, which with your kindness, Quality of food is of service, it ended great... see you next ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
