Incredible food, the freshest fish, the carpaccio di cernia was divine, the grilled scorfano was absolutely first class, the lmussels were big and fleshy, the spaghetti al fuoco is reaally unique, desserts are original and delicious, and the service couldn't be better. Obviously it helps...if you speak Italian to get good service and clearly if you book late you might not get the best table! Italians are extremely humane, they reward loyalty and good manners! As for the price, anyone who has seen Seaspiracy will know that the seas are overfished, and the Eolian islands supply relies on small fisherman trying to egg a living from a sea where fish are more and more scarce, so the prices have risen. Porto Belli is a must go restaurant on Salina!More

We arrived and were given the worst table next to the entrance although there were at least 10 better tables still free. Explanation was that everybody else had reserved „a month ago“. Interestingly the name on our table was a completely different one (Matteo). Seems...they don’t like foreigners any more. Other guest left as well because they were disappointed, one couple came back after the owner ran after them. Food was nowhere as good as it used to be either. Very very disappointing as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Äölian Isöands.More

Nice view on the harbor, nice location, reasonable service, low food quality, definitely overpriced. It is the first the restaurant you see when you arrive, take your time and look around before choosing.

This is one of the oldest restaurants on Salina and I can see why it’s stayed around so long. The restaurant is set on the harbor and everything they serve is great quality. The crudo appetizer was incredible and the pasta’s we both had were...some of my favorite on the Aeolians. The riccota and honey dessert was simple but delicious. I would definitely come back here for dinner or lunch.More

Without any prior booking we, a group of 20 hungry sailors, entered the restaurant late on a Sunday evening asking for a table. Without any hesitation a long table was prepared for us in a few minutes and we were served a nice dinner.

Staff here were very accommodating and were quick to act when the weather turned. The food was average compared to some competitors but very well presented!

Simplicity produces the best food. Try hard-fried scorpion fish. No? They seem to get everything right. So my sardines starter was magic as was the pulpo. Nice atmosphere for eating

We had a late lunch at Portobello after stopping at Salina during a private boat tour of Lipari and Salina. We all had delicious meals from simple grilled vegetables to mixed seafood. My coeliac daughter had the best gluten free pasta she has ever had....Food is simple but beautifully cooked. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. Views were lovely. Recommended.More

Decided upon this restaurant for dinner after seeing positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Waiting staff seemed to be quite inexperienced, we had a long wait for our order to be taken, starters arrived well before our wine, wine cooler arrived halfway through our main course....Food was ok, but nothing special. It almost seemed that they weren’t expecting August to be so busy? All in all, a fairly average experience.More
