Super cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
There are not that many seats but they have really tried to make it as good as possible. There are tables and chairs, as well as tipi tents that you can sit in. Since there is limited seating, you have to be there relatively early to get a seat.
As the restaurant selection is limited in Doljo beach, we went here two evenings for dinner. We tried new dishes each time, and the food was great!
We couldn't finish all the food, but it was no problem to take the leftovers with us (we gave it to the dogs on the beach on the way home). It cost 7peso to bring the leftovers, and this was to cover the cost of the take-away box.
If we visit Doljo beach again, we will definitely eat here again!

Such a cute and comfortable restaurant. We stayed at modala Beach Resort, and this was just walking distance. The staff from our hotel recommended this restaurant as one of the nearest places to eat aside from the Moadto mall.
Went during lunch and dinner. Love the tent idea, it can get hot but it was a great experience. There are fans per tent and table, but it's not in the way.
Enjoyed the Seafood Paella, Gambas with bread and the Calamares. We also ordered the chicken shawarma it was good but just not to my liking, and also, the mint vodka drink same it was good but not to my liking but interesting for cocktails Staff were very accommodating and will converse, making the experience great.
The place is actually small, which is also good since you feel the exclusively and privateness of the place. If you're not into crowds and want a chill place, this would be it, especially if you're checked in at Modala.

We dined at La Vara twice because the first time we couldn't try all the things on the menu. The food is fantastic, many Fillipino dishes with a modern twice
The ambience was lovely and relaxed. The 3 tents look great although we didn't eat inside one. Service was good and staff really friendly. They even helped us get a tricycle back to our hotel.
The cocktails were lovely and everything was very reasonably priced. Main meals around 300-400php and drinks around 100php

Adventurous spins on resto favorites. Interesting variations on seafood plus pasta themes, or beef or surf and turf themes.
We tried the Camaronara. It came as a solo portion at Php 350.00. Nothing fancy. You can approximate the dish at home.
Ordered Seafood Gochujang. Staff forgot to place the order. Changed it to Frankfurt cheese burger. It was tasty, tangy, spicy. Home made skinless Hungarian Spicy sausage, on chili con carne and coleslaw. Again a solo size offering at Php 280.00. The chips on the side were storebought, chewy, uncrisp.
The taro milkshake was good, the strawberry milkshake, made from purely storebought ingredients.
The place has a nice ambiance, with option to dine in glamping style tents. Staff are new, very green. Misses on common courtesies, but that's probably just due to inexperience.
The rest of the menu seems interesting. But if you're looking for portion:value for money, you may be daunted with it's upscale Makati/BGC pricing.
Then again you're far away from home, and on a holiday.

We are here for my family's dinner. This was my second visit. It's a nice place to hang out with your loved ones.
Tex-Mex Nacho Bake, Beef and Mushroom Citrus Salpicao, and Meat Lover Carnivora Pizza are the dishes we order. We all enjoy the food we ate.

We stayed for dinner in this lovely little place for two nights. The food is really great and the guys who run it are really delicious and kind. There is a very varied cuisine mixed between Mexican and Filipino and every dish we tasted was really impeccable.
