Best food in the world, in my opinion. I wish it was available in Sweden or I had the opportunity to resell it myself so the Swedish people could enjoy it as much as I do.

Normally every review of any kind of restaurant is about food, service…. But visit to Nakiryu starts with waiting. You can read all about waiting times in almost every review on Nakiryu so I will not be describing details. Of course I’ve checked other reviews...before visiting Nakiryu. I usually don’t comment on other reviews but can’t help to make an exception this time. Looks like some people can’t separate waiting time and food itself. Is this the best ramen in Tokyo? I don’t know. Haven’t tried them all. But if someone says that it is not a great ramen then he or she doesn’t have a clue what a good ramen is. There are popular restaurants around the world where you don’t wait but you need to book weeks or even months in advance. In Nakiryu you can’t book but you wait in line. Almost everybody is writing about that so if you don’t like it just don’t go there. But don’t blame it on a food. Is it worth waiting? After waiting for an hour and a half the first time I went there again after a week and waited a bit over 2 hours second time! So my answer is big YES I was alone so I was lucky to get counter seat both times. It was a pleasure watching sous-chefs at work. Although serving ramen and some other dishes, where liquid or sauce cover ingredients, attention to details is incredible. And final result fantastic. Of course, I suggest that after a long wait you try as many different dishes as you can. But of course noodles are the star of the place. For my personal taste Soy-sauce ramen are perfect but dandan noodles are unforgettable.More

Top Ramen @ an UNBEATABLE price considering this place has won a Michelin ⭐ for 7️⃣ years in a row 😯🤩 #ProTips: 🔸Arrive before 10am (9:45-9:55) if you want to be among the first 12 @ 11am when they open 🔸Be prepared to wait a...minimum of 1hr (up to 2.5) & if you're lucky 30mins 🔸If coming during the 🥶 months then come prepared, there is a killer wind in this street. 🔸Inside config = 6 front row chef counter + 2 seater table + 4 seater 🔸While waiting in line, make sure everyone is always there otherwise you risk being sent back to the end 🔸Cash 💵 only, aprox 1000 per ramen plain or 1500 with top 3 toppings (🥚+🐷+nori) 🔸Dumplings are 👌🏻 but the 🦐/🐖 wontan w/ Spicy Garlic sauce is stellar! Must get! 🔸If you want a lighter tasting ramen go for the soy-sauce based 🔸Spice lvl 🔥 on the Tantanmen & wontans are around a 4/10 (I really like spicy food) & it doesn't linger but does build up on the soup with every bite. GF who doesn't really tolerate spicy food was able to eat a wontan & loved it. 🔸The drawer in front of you which has your 🥢 also has bibs (in black) & napkins in white, just pull it out enough to see them... I accidentally used the bib as a napkin until I opened it up much later & realized my mistake 🤣 We arrived at 10:10, party of 5 & split up at entrance, 2 first at around 11:20 and they entered at 11:45. At first we were a bit sad to have to be split up but luckily for my gf & I, we were seated at the 2 center seats at Chef's Kazumasa Saito's counter 😱🥹. Honestly, seeing him & his sous chef (?) @ work was such a great experience. From how they carefully prepare each 🍽️ & order so that they always go out together to his unique style during certain preparations. The food, well, no flaws. Def go for the tantan or sanramen if you are looking for rich flavours with a perfect balance. If you want a lighter based ramen then do the soy based (I didn't try he salt ver). Is it worth the wait? Yea, especially if you go with his signature tantan or sanramen, a great combination & balance of flavors. The wontans should also get praise & if you are lucky to get a counter seat then it's outta the park.More

My experience at Nakiryu was good. The staff that greeted me in line spoke English which helped when I needed to buy my ticket for the ramen. My wait in line was exactly 30 minutes at 1:00pm on a Wednesday. Of course it probably went...quicker due to the state of emergency. Of all the ramen places I've tried, this one had the most hand-sanitizer (a bottle between each person) and comfortable spacing. I chose the spicy ramen at the normal level and it was deliciously fresh and appropriately spiced. Overall, I thought it was excellent. However, I don't think I would crave it enough to go back. I've had more ramen in Tokyo that gives you that desperate feeling that you get with those ramen cravings. Of course, everyone should try a Michelin star Ramen place!More

I am not a big fan of tantanmen, so I went to Nakiryu for their Tokusei Shoyu. But if you want this special shoyu bowl, do not go for dinner, as they do not have it available. For dinner there is only a regular, rather...Spartan shoyu ramen. Yes, it is a great soup, with a broad range of flavours and a great taste, thin, chewy thin noodles, but I must confess that it was not good enough to compensate for the long wait in line and the disappointment of the limited menu in the evening. The so-called charsiu rice was nice, but not out of this world. I’m sure a French food critic was impressed with this ramen, but maybe he/she did not have to wait 50 minutes in line to find a limited menu waiting. It ends up being an unintentional tourist trap. Great service, nice people...and their tantanmen looks fabulous..More

Get there an hour early ... play on your phone and get over it, this wait’s worth it. A wonderful full bodied ramen - the broth has depth, roundness and spice - noodles are chew-licious (get the extra serving or die w regret) pork perfect,...luscious perfectly soft boiled egg, flavorful sides. I ordered, but was not as taken w the fatty pork - was a bit common. Wished I’d ordered 1,2, maybe 3 bowls of ramen to go. Just lovely. Great service. Easy ordering (just be sure to have cash) staff helpful throughout the process.More

We arrived 30 minutes early and waited 3 hours for a seat. If we had ben a little earlier I think the wait would have been much less. It's rumored they only serve the first 100 people. The loded ramen was outstanding but the rice...with pork was my favorite! We were in line with people that travel the world looking for the best ramen. If you can't wait try Devil's ramen.More

This was 150% worth the hour and half wait time. We got to the place at 11am (30mins before opening time) and there were already 26 people in front of us. Take some entertainment with you because you will be waiting at the very least...1hr to get in. We ordered the Deluxe Tantanmen and it was divine. The broth is so full of flavour (slightly on the sour side) but absolutely delicious. The coriander on the side qas perfect (you have to order this separately). The serving size is quite decent so go with an appetite! Also, orders are placed through a vending machine and it only accepts 1,000 yen notes. Enjoy!More

This is certainly the best ramen I ate. We came at 18:00 when it opened , and had to wait for 2 hours in line!!! Small place. 10 people eat at a time. There's a machine in the entrance where you order ( they help...you...) and you can choose excellent toppings for your soup and tasty side dishes. I had the soya flavoured ramen, my friends had the spicy... and we all loved it!!!! Highly recommended!!!More

Wow, this place is amazing. I am always skeptical of Michelin Star restaurants (they are usually about fancy food, not tasty food!) but this place exceeded my expectations! We arrived at 10:15 for an 11:30 Opening. We were #4 and 5 in line (which means...we got the first seating as there are only 10 seats there). We received a menu (in Japanese and English) and prepped our order so when we went in, we were ready. You must pay cash. You but tickets at the machine, take the tickets, and then sit down. Everything we had was excellent! The service was awesome. I couldn’t have been happier with this meal and experience!More

We had to stand (sit on a metal fence) for an hour and ten minutes. It was really hot that day so we were given umbrellas by the staff during the wait. We were given a menu before entering, which was labelled in English and...had numbers next to each option. Using the machine to select the order was really easy and the staff helped. The food was quality, worth every penny, which wasn’t a lot. We had orders of lots of different ramen and toppings, and all agreed it was the best thing we’d eaten that week in Tokyo. Definitely go if you have the time, as we entered as a five, the staff waited until there were five seats free and let us all go in together. I think there were around 10 seats in total so maybe call ahead if you have a party bigger than that.More

First of all let me clarify one point. This got a Michelin guide, and not a Michelin star. Small difference but a difference nevertheless. Cons- Long long wait on the street. we waited for about 2 hours with no idea on how long the wait...time was. would have been nice for staff to inform us Pros- The best Ramen we had in tokyo. The wait i guess was worth it. The Hot Tantanmen ramen was the best of the lot.More

What a disappointment! How Nakiryu earned a Michelin Star is beyond me. Come if you enjoy a long wait for a bland bowl of raman with curt staff urging you to eat quickly so they can get the next customer in.
