We ate here because it was the closest restaurant to our hotel and it was really windy and rainy. But it was a great surprise! We ate ravioli (i think that the correct name is gyoza!), both steamed and grilled and we really loved it!...The staff is really kind and the place characteristic. Recommended if you stay in Shinjuku! 👍More

My boyfriend doesn't eat pork, which made eating out in Japan interesting. As long as we googled places in advance, we were fine. This place showed as an option offering chicken ramen and it was only 10 minutes away from our hotel. My ramen was...delicious, and my boyfriend tried the tsukemen - he said it was weird at first eating cold noodles dipped in hot sauce, but that it did taste good.More

I had read great reviews of this tsukemen/ramen restaurant so it was on my must visit list for my trip to Tokyo. This was our first lunch in the city. It was very difficult to find and once we finally arrived I was unsure if...I wanted to stay for lunch. The restaurant is very small and has seats at the counter but we were seated by the door on a table that was crammed against the wall, It was very hot and uncomfortable. Unfortunately we decided to stay and ordered our meals. Four of us had tsukemen (noodles served separate with dipping sauce) and all of the sauces had such a strong flavor of chicken, not in a good way. One person had the ramen and the chicken in the ramen had blubbery skin on it. Not good! We left feeling that we had wasted a precious day in Tokyo. I felt very bad for the people I was with because I was the one who wanted to dine here.More

One of the best ramen I've had while in Tokyo. Prices ranges around 700yen and above. Portion is enough to fill you :)

The tsuke-men here is excellent especially when topped with a generous serving of karaage. Wish I could eat more during my visit but alas its regular portion of Sio DX had me stuffed Staff here speaks very good English - that makes it a whole...lot easier to order.More

I walked into this tiny place which came highly recommended by a friend; the noodle bar sits maybe 20 persons at full capacity, so it wasn't very large at all, and as expected we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to...open up. Thank god we did, because the food blew my mind to itty bitty bits! First up, the tsukemen dipping sauce was thick and bold and comes served in 3 different flavours, of which i opted for "red" or the spicy version. The sauce is made primarily with chicken (chunks of juicy thigh of which were found in the soup) and is brimming with hearty goodness. The beauty of tsukemen is that, because nobody expects you to finish all the sauce, it comes in a separate small bowl that is so pugnacious in its flavour profile that you almost need to wrestle the meal to the ground. My stomach definitely felt it - halfway through we made a concerted effort to finish off the meal as fast as we could because the battle was getting long and drawn out. Not that i didn't enjoy every minute of it, but if i had slowed down, the possibility of being able to finish the huge meal would drop dramatically. Secondly, the noodle portions were generous and arrived steaming and chewy, and the fried chicken thigh and bamboo shoots it came with topped out this meal nicely. Each bowl comes with a wedge of lemon - not to be squeezed at the start of the meal, but in the middle so that the citrus spritz reinvigorates the meal and cheers the diner on to delicious completion. In sum, I came in ravenous, left feeling a little too full and giddy with happiness. Now that's a damn awesome meal to remember.More
