So good. Did the Wagyu set x2 and it was seriously life changing. Little pricy, but totally worth it!

Was with my wife and 4 year old daughter and were looking for a nice place to eat Kobe beef. The place is nice as u have small rooms for each table so you are bothered by anyone. Once you have chosen, they bring red coal to your private bbq and the trip starts. The meat is extremely tender and... More

We walked right in to our seats as there wasn't a queue. Staff could speak English so that's convenient. The English menu recommended a set which coats 5000yen per person. We opted to order a la carte instead. Each order of beef is about 100g as informed by the service staff. We had about 7 orders of a variety of... More

We were in the area and decided to give this place a try for dinner. The quality of meat for the price is not that great for the price, compared to other yakiniku places we've tried in the city. What we were most disappointed with is that they have a cover charge per person. With the amount my group ordered... More

Whilst in Shinjuku on a business visit I fancied some beef for a change from Tonkatsu and Ramen and so I headed for "Black Hole" which is a Wagyu Yakiniku. Yakiniku means 'grilled meat' and is also referred to as a "Japanese barbecue". Wagyu beef is highly marbled (fat running through the meat) and as such is very tender and... More

We were a group of 3 adult men hungry and eager to try the yakaniku beef offerings. They came out looking fresh and mouth watering, however, the portions are quite small for the prices they offer. We also had 2 beers each and perhaps 6-8 orders of various plates of the beef yakaniku. Our bill came up to a whopping... More

Past 10pm, there's a 10% surcharge on total bill! 2 different waiters had told us that the surcharge wouldn't be applied if we order before 10pm - but it was still applied on our bill. A different waitress then took one of our meat plates without our permission (with food in it) to show another group, which I personally think... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
