Do not miss this place when you’re in Bohol!!! The owner is Italian so the food is authentic - we had olives (first time in 4 months!!) and they are imported from Italy and delicious. Me and my partner both had pasta dishes which were excellent. They were great portion sizes and served with garlic bread. The owner came to speak to us and is very passionate about his food and was lovely to speak to. His wife is from the Philippines and they also offer authentic Philippino food. Really great experience - also if you like a ‘kick’ to your food ask for their homemade chilli sauce on the side! Tastes amazing!

I stumbled into Al Fresco's after seeing a few pictures of their pizza and after one bite, I knew it was the real deal. The sauce, the dough, the cheese. It felt like I was back in Italy. I asked the server if the owner was Italian and turns out he was sitting behind me. We got to talking and realized we both had the same last name and our families were from the same region in Italy. Small world! Moral of the story is, if you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in Bohol, look no further!

If you are like me and crave wonderful authentic cheese dishes in SEAsia, do not miss a chance to visit here. Their Four Cheese pizza is wood fired and every bite is an authentic cheesy delight. There are many other real Italian slow food delights on the menu. Guido and Helen have combined their talents to create beautifully presented food and a very nice tropical, friendly vibe.

Read the reviews and so glad we decided to go. Really really great Italian food, with great wine too. So good to have quality fresh ingredients put together by a talented chef. During our 6 day stay in Bohol we went three times. Every meal was excellent. The bruschetta, seafood marinara and perfect pizza deserve a shout out. Mr and Mrs Russo the owners were perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming.

Very impressed overall. Staff were friendly, drinks cold, the food very tasty. & there was off street parking. All of the above can be difficult to find here in Bohol so we were happy! Thanks to our hosts Helen & Guido and we will return with a larger group soon. BTW I am not a tourist, I live here

Guido & Helen have a beautiful restaurant in the middle of the block. The food is authentic and top level. I had Creamy Carbonara w bacon and a simple but totally fresh salad. My wife had Roast Pork. The staff is very friendly and service was right on time.
There are many choices in Bohol but this is our 2nd time and we will return. The experience is delightful.

Had a great talk with owner from Florence Italy. He introduced his wife of 22 years. Very good pizza. I got the meat lovers with a glass of white wine. I really enjoyed it. I’d go again in a heartbeat. Very good staff and service

Great pizza and spinach ravioli! The owners were very friendly and sweet. The pizza was so good we ordered an extra pie to take away! If you live Italian I would highly recommend!

Al fresco, not crowded, friendly service, very good food, Italian-Filipino couple who own and operate the place care so much for the satisfaction of their customers. Just a wonderful unpretentious place to dine.

I been 3 times and l would not recommend!!!
1 is far away from an Italian restaurant !!!!!!
2 pizza : the pasta was hard
3 ravioli: watery not tasty and small portion
4 burger decent
5 salad is ok

Since the change of ownership, the food at Al Fresco is as good as ever. Indeed, there have been some improvements: for example, whereas previously pizza was only available from 5 p.m, it is now available all day.

Al Fresco is an open air Italian restaurant off of the main streets of Tagbilaran City. The owner is a chef from Italy named Toni. He's a wonderful guy who's charm and friendliness makes him easy to like. The restaurant is in the process of changing owners, and the new owner is also Italian name Guido. I've met him, and I like him very much. He'll do a fine job with the restaurant. The waitresses are all very friendly, honest and down to earth people. After they get to know you, you're on a first name basis with them. I've had several of their entrees and there are a good number of selections mostly Italian, but some have a Filipino flare to them. It's always been excellent food with very reasonable prices. I like to take my family about once a week to Al Fresco. It's my favorite place for atmosphere which is always friendly.
