Best Restaurant in Locorotondo

We stayed 5 nights in Locorotondo (July 2022) and ate at a number of eateries within the town centre. Hands down, Goodo Restaurant was the best. Although not located in the centre of Locorotondo, the restaurant sits just on the outer circle of the town, which means parking is relatively easy. It’s still close to the centre of the town (just a short 10 min walk), so if you are a foodie and wish to seek out the best dining experiences, then Goodo MUST be on your list. The pastry chef worked in London at a Michelin Star restaurant (deserts were amazing). The ingredients are of the highest quality and the dishes were exquisite! It was so good, we ended up going back a second time after walking around the city centre chasing an eatery for dinner but only thinking about the meal we had the previous night at Goodo… so we just went back again! Service was perfect and the restaurant is fitted out superbly! Goodo will not disappoint.

Contemporary restaurant with great atmosphere

This is a lovely modern restaurant serving contemporary Italian food. On arrival, they serve some lovely snacks including polenta chips and good bread. We had a variety of dishes including some excellent risotto (would highly recommend) seafood pasta and salmon tartare. All of the dishes were balanced and well-presented, including the desserts. Wine was ok, it wasn’t the best that we had in Puglia. Food was a little on the small side but delicious and I loved the decor and feel of the restaurant.

Awesome experience

We loved this place I thought the food was one of the best we had in Italy during our 3 week trip, locorotondo doesn’t have many good restaurants so we ended up coming twice that’s how much we liked it. Ingredients taste very fresh, prices are very reasonable and dishes very creative. I absolutely loved the tar tar and seafood risotto. Pork belly was also very good.

Delicious food, friendly service

We visited off season in October, and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. A shame because the food was great. Highlight of the meal was a dessert - a basil sorbet with a parfait that was fantastic. Great service as well. Definitely recommended.

Must visit!

Go go go! This restaurant is not in the small, beautiful centre of Locorotondo but just outside and I mean steps outside. Great interior and welcome reception. We had lunch and the food was excellent. Fish carpaccio, duck breast, amazing risotto with seafood and another with meat and the veal was fantastic. Local wine recommended and was very nice. Service was very kind and attentive. Little language barrier was quickly fixed with the kitchen chef. This is your must go when going to Locorotondo! Well worth your time and money! Grazie!

The best in Locorotondo with ambitions for more

We ate here on our last night in Locorotondo and it was my favourite among many good options. It’s a modern restaurant not in the old part of town and is well fitted out and stylish. The food suited the venue with modern twists on traditional local dishes. I had cialledda salad to start , a traditional salad of chopped cucumbers, bread, onion and basil- served with a date tomato granita. So fresh and zesty. My partner had the fried octopus which he enjoyed. For main I had the red mullet, stuffed with pine nuts et al on spinach, with yuzu gel. My partner had “Mare and moh” squid ink pasta with a pea purée- also good. For dessert we shared “French Kiss”. (Awful name) but delicious lemon cream with nutty crumble. The maitre d has ambitions to be the best in Italy. It’s certainly interesting and a great start.

Puglia’s #1!!!!

I could not speak more highly of this place. They let us come in early before our meal for drinks. They catered for our vegans and celiacs. And, most importantly, the meal was incredibly delicious. The risotto was to die for and the lemon desert was out of this world. The owner was also so lovely suggesting one of the best wines I’ve ever had. 5/5, would definitely go back and could not recommend more!

A must try in Locorontondo!

Best restaurant in Locorotondo, and by far the best I’ve been to in Puglia. I’ve been here for 5 days and never ate so well! The hospitality is amazing, the food is different from usual, in terms of flavours and ingredients. The desserts are to die for!!!! Definitely something to try if you’re in the area. The owner of the restaurant is also lovely! Amazing experience, would recommend to anyone!

Nicely presented comfortable modern restaurant retaining character of the local stone. Friendly, attentive service with some tasty and inventive dishes. We had an excellent lunch and will definitely return.

An amazing unexpected surprise! Attention to details, explosion of beautiful taste and combination of flavours. Fresh ingredients full of aromas. Perfect wine pairing. The owner a professional that knows what is talking about, polite and attentive!! Will travel again to visit this amazing restaurant! Already recommended to friends!

THE ITRIA VALLEY JEM!

If I have to sum up in one word what this place is, I will say "Oasis"! It's easy to find a good restaurant selling food and wine, Puglia is renowned as one of the regions with best food. What makes the different here is the "Experience" we have been gifted with! A two-hour journey through delicious food made by traditional and sought-after ingredients perfectly balanced, combined or paired with the greatest Apulian wine, blended with an amazing informal yet very charming service which made us absolutely happy of choosing Goodo for a reunion night. We will definitely come back.

Delicious!

We had a fabulous lunch at Goodo. This is our second visit and we highly recommend it. The seafood risotto was outstanding so was the octopus with fava bean purée.

We walked in the restaurant with no booking trying our luck. We managed to sort out a table. The staff, well mannered and with a good knowledge of their menu, wines etc. We enjoyed the dining experience.
