Great food in a relaxing atmosphere

As a vegetarian I eat alot of Italian food, my Husband & I had dinner here last night and the food was delicious, the restaurant definitely lives up to the reviews here on TA. The vegetarian lasagne was lovely with just the right amount of cheese and my bruschetta srarter was really fresh. My Husband's antipasto platter was huge and served with delicious burrata as they were out of mozzarella. His main was the corden bleu which was well cooked very tasty and filling. The Italian white wine was nice, given the limited wine choice in bohol this is a good option for those who enjoy a nice glass of wine! It's a bit of walk from Aloha beach you'll feel like you're walking away from the action but it's definitely worth it.

The Best Italian Restaurant in Bohol

I am inlove with this Italian restaurant. They have a lot to offer I would say this is the best in Bohol. If you're a seafood lover, you can have their seafood pasta and tasteful variety of pizza which is very fantastic!!! Well mannered staffs and a good place to have a nice conversation with friends and family.

Nice Pizza place in Panglao

Delicious pizza made the Italian way in a brick oven. They also good salads and home made tiramisu for dessert. The only downside is it takes a very long time to be served and the location os a bit out of the way.

Shockingly Appalling Service - Awful Management

Without doubt this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We went to Vanilla Sky to dine as a family as we were visiting Bohol together & based on previous reviews thought this would be a good place to dine. I only wish I had paid more focus on the reviews which advised of awful service. We ordered starters & mains & were served both courses all together. When we advised the wait staff that we were unhappy that we were not served the starters as an initial course, they told us that the restaurant would close at 9.30pm, as opposed to the 10pm closing time advertised on their website. We therefore chose to send the starters back as we felt overfaced with the amount of food presented as a single course. The Owner then proceeded to our table & asked what the issue was & we politely explained. He advised the restaurant would be closing at 9.30pm which was not expressed upon ordering. When we explained that this was not verbalised, he threw our order receipt on the table & walked away in the most unprofessional manner I have ever witnessed in my entire life. We ate our mains which were distinctly average & did not enjoy our meal, as we felt rushed & unappreciated. Had the manager apologised for the sub par service, maybe we would have been placated somewhat but his attitude was utterly appalling. As a Travel Agent, I will absolutely ensure that my clients are strongly advised to avoid this establishment at all costs & based on the customer service, I will blacklist this property from here on in. Do better Vanilla Sky, I am utterly shocked at your unprofessionalism & complete disregard for your customers.

Quality doesn't match the other reviews

I am not sure if we chose the wrong things here and maybe should have stuck to the pizza. Based on both of our entire meals I am shocked this restaurant is so highly rated. The quality of the food was poor and basic. The ham was hard in the salad as if it was left out too long. Some of the prawns had the black bit in, no one wants to eat that. Lasagne lacked flavpur. The worst course was the fillet. When the plate came to the table it was full of water which mixed with the blood. I was told it was the sauce, on further investigation it was the water off the vegetables drowning the meal. It was fairly cheap for steak. Its a shame that everything was so bland. We were rushed out. Brought the bill without even being asked if we wanted anything else.

Excellent restaurant!

After 3 weeks of almost entirely Filipino food we were craving something else! And this restaurant was the perfect choice! The food was absolutely excellent. Fresh and handmade pizza, you could watch them make it in the kitchen. The bruschetta was also very good and full of flavour. Finally we had the lasagna which was very tastefull as well. We enjoyed the dinner very much and could not have gone for a better restaurant. The staff is also very friendly and we received a limoncello on the house before we left. Only one tip when you go and you are tall like us, pick a high table! We were at a Filipino table as the staff pointed out laughing, we could not fit our legs under the table it was so low!

Let down

Was full of hope for our friends special night ! But unfortunately was let down. The service was pleasant but far too slow only getting our drinks after our entree which wasn’t cooked throughout. We let that go, but was happening all night taking half an hour for 5 rum and cokes with only 3 tables being serviced. I’m not to be sure but believe owner/manager was on another table with friends jumping up every 15 minutes to no change and they could see things were taking too long. The bill even was a hassle taking a while and even asking twice. I really don’t like to complain but this was a special night for friends and was highly recommend on here and would like to share my experience. Prices were fair and again waitress staff were very pleasant, was only there system which let them down. Unfortunately very disappointed

I have tried several restaurants in Panglao and I can say Vanilla sky is the best. Good food! Excellent pasta, very tasty deserts. What Vanilla sky offers is same quality you can find in the best restaurant in Italy. Ps and the mozzarella you need to try it, they makes mozzarella is homade.

A point of reference that certainly deserves more than one dinner, the owner, Alessandro, prepares home made buffalo mozzarella together with gnocchi, tagliatelle and pasta cooked to perfection. Let's not forget the excellent pizza!!! Well done VANILLA SKY!!🔝🔝🔝

Had buffalo, home made mozzarella for appetizer, prosciutto pizza and lasagna for main then panna cotta and tiramisu. OMG everything was really good. Real authentic Italian. Their food exceeded 200% of my expectation. Dined here on our last night in Bohol. Wish we came here earlier so that we could come back.

Great atmosphere and amazing food at good value!

I’ve been to the Philippines several times, and a decent steak is pretty hard to come by in my experience. This one was excellent, and at a very affordable price too. Every other dish the rest of the gang ordered was also top notch. Staff was also attentive and efficient. Great value for the money.

Great ambient and authentic Italian delicacies

The restaurant is inside a very nice resort. The Italian owner is very friendly and accommodating. Food is great and there is an authentic home made bufala mozzarella that is incredible! Everything is delicious and it is definitely on top of the list for good food in Panglao!

Great Italian restaurant in Panglao

Great pizza and pasta dishes. The service was quick, polite and efficient. The building is lovely and the ambience is really nice. This was our favourite place to eat in Panglao. Sadly we only found it on the last night. Oh and did I mention that they do a really good Tiramisu for dessert, my favourite. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Authentic Italian cuisine at a high level

In my opinion, the best European restaurant in the region. Good prices, large portions. Very good pizza, pasta and meat dishes. Nice ambience, friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Love coming here. Mozzarella and pasta are homemade.
