Stayed at Amorita. Included is breakfast buffet at Saffron. I'm very much pleased with how the fried rice was cooked (did not look or taste like the rice was from 5 days ago). Pineapple slices were very sweet! Enjoyed the dried fish and dried squid....Buffet also had preserved meats and imported cheese. I had a very late lunch today at almost 4pm. Tried the highly-recommended sinigang. Did not disappoint. Soup is thick. Pork slices were marinated in lemon sauce. Truly special! The best thing about this place is that service is excellent, matched only by the scenic view of the beach. Must try!More

Whilst reviewing Amorita as an overall resort, one of the major "CONS" that we wrote down was Saffron Restaurant and I am extremely confused how other guests liked this restaurant. My husband and I are foodies and my husband actually works in the restaurant business....We ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and each and every single meal time, we were left disappointed. Buffets in the morning were so bland, it was mind-boggling. And then, every item we ordered on the menu for lunch and dinner, every single dish was overly seasoned, and others swimming in sauce and bordering on being sweet--which was very concerning to me because I am watching my sugar intake but even dishes that aren't supposed to be sweet, tasted sweet. To be more specific, here are the food items we ordered besides the breakfast buffet: We got the Gado Gado Salad -- the sauce was TOO SWEET. We also got the Poke Bowl -- not only was it bad, the sesame sauce was also TOO SWEET. We got the Shrimp Sandwich -- and surprise, surprise, it was TOO SWEET. We also got the Chopsuey -- it was swimming in over seasoned sauce, completely overpowering the vegetables that we couldn't finish it. Got the Pinabusog na Pusit -- SUPER BLAND. Finally we got the Longganisa & Bree Pizza, SUPER BLAND --we couldn't understand why the pizza in Saffron does not have the same quality as pizza in Azotea. Like, why? Finally we discovered Tomar and Azotea, and ate there instead.More

My husband and I ate here every day during our stay at Amorita Resort. The breakfast buffet is amazing -- not too large to overwhelm, but big enough to satisfy most palates. We especially loved the lunch and dinner menus because it offered foods that...we normally eat but with unique flavors. Definitely pricier than the restos along Alona Beach, but it's worth it.More

They serve western and Filipino food so variety is there. We had the calamari as starters, and for mains tuna grill, beef salipicao, pork belly and lastly for dessert we had chocolate tableau. The calamari was the highlight of the meal. We absolutely love it....It was well spiced. In terms of the mains the tuna out of the three was our favourite but the beef salpicao was a huge disappointment. It was hard to chew needs more time to cook. The dessert was plenty we couldn't finish it. Not my favorite but it was the only thing on the menu that looks "desserty". I was a bit disappointed at the end of the meal because my friends who visited this place had a different menu and they couldn't stop raving about it. I had the photo of the food they had and showed it to the waiter but according to him they have changed their menu and those food were no longer offered.More
