After a relaxing staycation to Nasugbu, Batangas resort, dropping to cozy Italian resto is not to be missed. A dear friend of mine recommended La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria. The passerby will hardly noticed the resto, but once you find it, for sure your desire for Italian Cuisine will be satisfied. It has its own parking area, which is very convenient and once you step on the resto door, you will be welcome by the La Locanda charming staff. Their service is excellent and once you taste their food, surely you will enjoy its taste with a smile. Thanks to the lovely owner whom we have a chance to meet and chat. Absolutely, we will visit again. Ohh and to add, if you are not a fan of Italian Cuisine, no worries they are serving Filipino dishes as well.

Excellent pasta and pizza at reasonable prices. You can see where recipes have been adapted to cater to locally sourced ingredients, with no compromise to the quality of the dishes. That pizza - awesome. The crust is Chewy, crunchy and light, all at the same time and the sauce just mildly tangy. Keep going back for that pizza alone...

We went for an early dinner and had the place to ourselves. Not the first visit and will not be the last. Not that there is not a lot of choice in Nasugbu and surrounds, but this place is worth driving to for a relaxed dinner ‘a deux’ or with a party of friends. Staff were accomodating and efficient.

The restaurant really tried to provide an Italian atmosphere and food/drinks. I like the style and the food was very good. The seem to have a good oven. The definitely have motivated and friendly staff and parking in front of the restaurant. Even their Wifi network was good. Thumbs up for this restaurant. Absolutely recommended.

Went here from the recommendation of a friend who is both a foodie and a world traveller, and it was one of the best decisions we made when we went to Nasugbu. The char and crisp of the pizza crust is everything! We had the nduja and quattro formaggi -- because we don't usually see nduja around here, and four cheese is always a crowd pleaser, even for picky kids. Our server mentioned two other kid-friendly pizza choices as the quattro formaggi had blue cheese. We stuck to it anyway because we thought it would be drowned out by the other cheeses. We were wrong! The blue cheese was quite pronounced but our child liked it anyway as he ate four slices of it. For pasta, I chose spaghetti al cartoccio ai frutti di mare. It looked pale when the packet was opened but the sauce at the base --- juices from all the aromatics and seafood melded together to form liquid gold. I wanted to inhale the lot. It was so so good.
We also met two friendly gentlemen who seem to be regulars as they said they used to eat the pasta I ordered every single day, it was THAT good. They taught my son how to say hello and goodbye in French, but we didn't get their names. Hello hello if you get to read this and thank you for your kindness and patience even as my kid was wandering all over the place.
It's just so rare to find a restaurant in the Philippines that relies on the flavours of fresh ingredients to create fantastic dishes, a departure from our usual overly seasoned food. Price is very fair for the quality, and considering that most of the ingredients have to be imported from Metro Manila. Highly recommended and worth the drive! 💯

An absolute hidden gem. Pizzas are to die for. Highly underrated place. Went for dinner with family while staying at Canyon Cove. A must go!

Italian food with an Italian Chef, with reasonable prices. Pizzas are terrific, as are other pasta dishes. They also make a good ceviche.

We were looking for a nice restaurant in Nasugbu as our hotel's buffet wasn't too enticing. Happened to come across this restaurant and was greatly surprised.
3 people ordered pizza, each pie was 12-14" and had wonderfully fresh ingredients and toppings. Crust was thin and slightly crispy, just as we prefer. Tomato sauce was excellent, enhanced by a nice blend of spices. Generous amount of cheese for the topping.
One person had the sizzling squid. It was cooked and delivered on an iron tray set into a wood holder. Spices were used to make the dish very savory. Sadly, there was a lot of oil in the tray that was probably too much to ensure that the ingredients would not stick to the pan.
Menu had a very wide selection of pastas, spaghettis, beef entrees and salads. One of the best menu selections in an Italian restaurant that we have visited in the Philippines.
5+ stars for the pizza and menu selections available. 2 1/2 stars for the squid for too much oil.

We went to La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria twice in a span of 5 days. They served authentic Italian dishes done by the owner who is an Italian. Their best seller thin crust pizza is a must try, it was really good. The Cabonara pasta was also delicious and with generous servings which 2 persons can share.They also serve Filipino dishes. We tried their Bistek, a Filipino version of beef steak, it was good but a little salty.
I would definitely recommend La Locanda Ristorante Pizzeria if you are in Nasugbu town.

This was the second time my wife and I dined at La Locanda. I neglected to write a review the first time, but given an excellent repeat performance I don't want to forget again. Such a delight to find a good Italian restaurant in Nasugbu, a town that doesn't have a lot of place that will delight the palate (at least that of a Westerner).
So far we've tried both pasta dishes and pizza, every choice has been excellent and not too far from what we've experienced in Italy. So nice to have Italians come to the Philippines and bring their passion for good and simple dishes!
The service is very good also, attentive but not annoying. Nice selection of Italian wines too!

We've traveled a good part of the world, are both good cooks and consider ourselves foodies, and I have to tell you, the owner/chef of La Locanda, Giovanni, prepares some of the best Italian food we've had anywhere. Certainly, the best we've had in the Philippines. His pizza, excellent tooth, good char, as good as any we've had in Italy. Our first time was this evening for dinner. We'll be back tomorrow for lunch.

High quality Italian cuisine at an affordable price: a winning combination!
Chefs are Italian and put a lot of care in preparing dishes that to me (Italian myself) 'taste like at home'. From lasagne to pizza to seafood pasta, all the dishes we tried were awesome! There is also a nice selection of great Italian wines to choose from so to match the food properly.
The ambiance is quiet, cosy and very 'Italian', perfect for a quiet and relaxing dining. The staff is very well trained and elegant and looks after you professionally.
I have been travelling around this part of the world for the last 10 years and I have to say that I have hardly found a restaurant like this in my journeys. Well done guys! Please continue along this track!

We ordered four pizzas: Aragula, Seafood,Bismarck, and fourth one I cannot remember, which, was meat-based. The crust was just right and the flavor of the toppings was perfect. It was as if I was transported to a pizzeria in the heart of Naples. A real, authentic Italian pizzeria in Nasugbu.
Although it was not in the menu, we ordered a bowl of spaghetti with tomato sauce. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and the sauce was just perfect. I would be difficult for me to find a better pasta anywhere else!
The maitre d’ was also very knowledgeable about the dishes and very accommodating - she said it was okay to have the spaghetti dish even if it was not in the menu. The staff was very friendly, polite and was unobtrusive.
They do have a decent wine list. Corkage is P300 and unfortunately they do not take credit cards for the moment. Located just a few steps from the St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, this is a good place to have a meal right after mass. The parking is very convenient.
This is one place to drive to from Manila. We will definitely be back!

Searching for an alternative in Nasugbu, after a disappointing experience in our classy resort restaurant,we came to this place. Easy to find with a spacious yard for parking.The food was a pleasant surprise. We had bresaola, prosciutto pizza and seafood pasta accompanied by an Italian wine. Very tasty food, attractive presentation,healthy style., We would only prefer the cheese slightly more melted on the pizza. Excellent service, friendly owners and Italian chef. We'll visit again anytime we are around.

This is one our favourite restaurants in the area; it is very authentic Italian food. The further you get into the provinces the harder it is to find good international food, so we were delighted to find this little gem. The staff are lovely and the prices reasonable.
