Amazing Italian style pizzas were absolutely delicious. This Cafe is under new ownership since we last visited very early 2024 and we're so glad we gave it another try.
The pizzas were fantastic.
Service was good.
We arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening and easily found a table, which means this Amazing place is being greatly undervalued by the locals. Give it another go! You won't be disappointed.
We would have been back for breakfast too if the breakfast menu had pancakes as well as all the delicious sounding egg options.

Set in a row of shops, this little place, with basic furnishings , colouring in supplies for the children, newspapers and great coffee, is welcoming and good value for money.
They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We have dined here on numerous occasions, the most recent being yesterday for our anniversary for dinner.
The meals are well proportioned and tasty and the prices don’t break the bank.

Ordered take away for three, our usual favourite pasta dish.
Friendly reception when I went to pick the meals up.
Usual tasty ingredients.
Sad to see the portions were the smallest I have ever seen. Plastic containers half full - not value for money. Sorry to say I probably won't bother again.

Riley’s used to be a favourite for ourselves and a variety of family and friends, mostly for dinners. In recent weeks we have been getting takeaway pizzas on Saturday nights. The pizzas are great and always have been, however on numerous occasions we have received incorrect orders on pickup. One was completely refunded, while two others were amended after a wait. We don’t order pizza from there anymore. A week ago four of us booked for dinner at 6.45pm and a Sunday evening and all the food was fine as normal, however service was not ! There were a few people dining earlier and they had left and only another couple remained , so pressure was not on. We finished the mains and ordered dessert and were then told they weren’t available. Shortly after, tables were cleaned around us and chairs stacked, it was now approximately 8.00 pm. A couple walked in and wanted to sit for dinner but were advised kitchen would be closed. The restaurant’s opening hours advertise closing each night at 9.00pm. We were no longer welcome , so left. It is a great shame this once reliable restaurant has changed and in my option, not for the better.

We have been to this cafe sometime ago & it was much better. Today the service was terrible & the food was substandard. Girl on the register was very rude & abrupt. While taking the order she kept talking to someone else. Wiped down the counter top & her hands & then the coffee spout with the same cloth, not washed or rinsed at any time. Bread for the bruschetta was soggy & there way too much onion, enough to fill half a dozen orders. The beef burger was tasty even though the burger & the bun were burnt on the top & bottom. Not sure how they cooked the chips, very overdone & crunchy.

This night was very hot but all the doors were wide open with dozens and dozens of flies hopping all over the place and no air con or very little so you could hardly feel any cool! Why? Crazy! There was only one waitress on who was expected to do everything….operate the till, put in orders, clean and clear tables! The menu has changed for the worse and prices are through the roof. They even charge you for a take a way box!
Well take note all you prospective “ customers “ do not waste your money
on this shabby place which they are running on a shoe string. you may be
hooked once but not twice.
I wonder if the owners will read this. I think not.

As my local cafe, Riley's has been part of my regular weeks activities for quite some time. Now, with the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Riley's has shifted to take-away only and under these onerous circumstances doing it well. The home delivery breakfast was on time, hot and fantastic. Well done Riley's.

You will always find great food and coffee, and friendly faces at Riley’s. The pizza is amazing but recommend anything from the menu.

The mains and garlic bread were delicious but the desserts - though they looked good in the cabinet - were incredibly dry and old. Could peel the meringue off the top of the pie and roll into a ball, the lime tart had come away from the sides of the pastry and was wrinkled, the date pudding (basically a hard cake)was very dry and not at all sticky and the apple pie - though the best of a bad lot was still very dry and hard. The young staff were lovely but the owner has been told many times that these desserts should not be sold. C’mon guys - Up your game!

We ordered a large pick up order on a Monday night for my dad’s birthday via their website, no issues ordering or taking our money except for when it came time to drive all the way there to pick up the order and find that they where closed! With no notice on their website.
Later in the week once we could confirm that the payment had gone through, my mother stopped in the shop to ask for her refund and was meet by junior staff that could not help, they fairly put my mother in contact with the owner who only but then managed to abuse her over the phone that we never paid and it wasn’t his fault that we ordered online without checking if they were open that night (the website and even business hours on the shop window state that they where open)
After a difficult discussion the owner said that he will decided to refund the money and essentially said F*** off, no apology given at all.

A friend and I had a nice meal at Rileys on Sunday evening (13th June 21). However, we were charged corkage for the two small beers we bought with us but unfortunately we were not even offered or provided with glasses so why were we charged corkage fees ? Probably our last visit if these ridiculous conditions continue at Riley's - a pity, as the food has been quite good on past visits. We also think this corkage nonsense must have been recently introduced as we don't remember being charged in the past ?
Something Riley's may wish to consider - most cafe's and smaller restaurants do not charge corkage if they are not licenced to sell alcohol ?
