Yeah, there are some terrible cheesesteaks out there, but there are terrible cheesesteaks in Philly, too. And as in Philly, there are some surprisingly great cheesesteaks scattered throughout the country, some of which can hold their own next to Philadelphia's finest. If you look at the restaurants awarded Michelin stars or those that make it onto the World’s 50 Best list -- both prestigious and lauded awards -- they tend to be expensive, with highly trained servers, and dishes with profound technical execution.
