Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
It was a great mosque, with a magnificent view and great weather, it was cold even we are in the summer. There are such a great coffee shops at that location.
I had described the rustem Pasha camii as bluer then the Blue Mosque, but this has even more blue decoration. From afar, there seem to be an incredible number of small domes surrounding the main dome. It appears to be surrounded by a swarm of domes. The interior is stunning. Originally built for the mother of Memet III, it was...
While most Istanbul tourists spend the majority of their time in the Sultanahmet district, you really need to cross over the Galata bridge for more sightseeing and experiences. You can take a ferry, tram, or simply walk across.
The lower level of the bridge is packed shoulder to should with seafood restaurants, each one with staff members enticing you to...

"Most authentic kahve house and turk coffee!"
reviewed June 3, 2017 by rachandben9192
Best kahve and sisha we've had in our 3 weeks in Turkey. It is also a popular chill out area for locals (and some hipster tourists) to sisha. (So it kinda feels like a gas chamber as well, esp if you do not smoke)
In Istanbul you will enjoy hundreds of good restaurants all around the city, but Hamdi Restaurant located at Eminoenu place is somewhere different. Here you have the pleasure to eat many typical goodies from Turkish cuisine. The lication itself close to the Bazar will give you for sure unforgettable memories.
I was in Istanbul for 3 nights and made it a point to come here every day. After site seeing and walking around the hectic city, this is the perfect place to come unwind. The cold brew is the best I've had anywhere in the world (I'm American) and their pour-overs are great as well. The only food I tried...
Stopped in here and bought three boxes of FRESH Turkish Delight which were made upstairs from the shop. Don't think anyone spoke English but that was not an issue. Boxes of candy were packaged nicely and many friends at home were able experience some of the best Turkish Delight in the world. Worth searching out this great little shop!

I have stayed at HHK for over 2 weeks with my sister 5 months ago. But I still miss its comfy bed, amazing view of Istanbul from my room window, Gervec bread that is served every morning with cheese, jam, eggs and many things. It was the best experience I had with a hotel. Even so better than 5 stars...
We could only spend one night here between engagements and it was so nice we did not want to leave. Very attentive and well-trained courteous staff, gorgeous modernized room, beautiful historic building full of elegance and charm, great central location - this is an experience you will not get at international chain hotels. Sauna in basement, pretty breakfast room. The...
Just got back from an amazing trip to Istanbul. Stayed at the beautiful Wyndham Old City Hotel close to the central tram line and the main tourist places to visit. Excellent service and very kind and helpful people.
