Thank you for your feedback. I am disappointed to hear you are unhappy with your stay at Chalkney Water Meadows and I apologise if your glamping experience was not what you expected. To hear the beds were damp is surprising as we are very vigilant about making the beds as late as possible to ensure this is not the case if the weather has been poor. We do make every effort to show guests to tents but with one member of staff on site throughout the day (as agreed with the bride and groom) then it is difficult to tend to everyones requirements especially when most attention needs to be spent on ensuring the bride and grooms needs are met. This is why we make it easy for guests to find their tents with chalk boards. A member of staff was present at the wedding from Friday to Sunday so it would have been best if you had aired your grievances with one of us then so we could have made every effort to make your stay more enjoyable. With regards to seating - I am afraid you are getting confused with our glamping site in Great Tey which is a permanent campsite from May to September. At this site each tent is situated on a raised platform and we provide seating and electricity to each tent with other luxuries you might expect to find in a golf club. I am sorry if you feel you have been misled but at no point do we falsely advertise the wedding glamping we offer at Chalkney Water Meadows and make it clear on our website that our luxury camping is hosted at Tey Brook Orchard. We feel that our accommodation (wedding glamping) is incredibly good value for money in comparison to other companies and I am disheartened to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I agree that you may be able to find a B&B or golf club offering accommodation for less than ours but if you or the bride and groom had outsourced glamping with another company you will find that they will offer you an empty bell tent with air beds on the floor, with no carpet, rugs, bed side tables, decor or bedding for a minimum of £250 for the night which is more than double our price. Therefore I can confidently say that what we offer is far superior than any other company in terms of comfort and value for money. We try our best to keep our pricing in line with local golf clubs but you are also forgetting that a taxi to and from our venue would add an extra £40 to your stay elsewhere. Regards, Archie
