Not many places you get to watch a family of ducklings grow up. Very enjoyable to watch them interacting with each other and their mother. They all have distinct personalities. Also listen to the different calls the mother uses to control them.

Sadly the family of six is now a family of four.
The rhododendrons are in bloom (24.05.2019) with a selection of colours.
Remember, dragonflies and damselflies are really fairies in disguise. 

The damselflies are beginning to emerge, various species although I am unsure which species this one is.

Visited yesterday (14/5/2019) and the butterflies were out in abundance. This one is a male Orange Tip. 

The usual suspects included the Speckled Wood, Peacock and Small Tortoise Shell.
Swimming in the lochs is discouraged, but some individuals just continue to do their own thing.

Ideal location for a health walk being only 4 from Elgin, with a fairly large car park and picnic area . The path which is centred around two interconnected lochs is sheltered, fairly dry but uneven in places, with some exposed tree roots, muddy sections and slight inclines,
