    Iconic Sign
The Hollywood Sign is, of course, just that. It is, however, iconic and one can see it not only from in Hollywood, but also by getting up close to it by hiking through Griffith Park, where the sign is located. This huge park covers much of the hills between Hollywood proper and the San Fernando Valley to the north. Hiking trails like along Mulholland Trail and Mt. Hollywood Drive, or other trails and Mt. Lee Drive, can bring one close to the sign, either below and in front of it, or above and behind it. Some start from the Mt. Hollywood Drive stop for the DASH Observatory bus which makes a circuit between the Vermont and Sunset Metro stop and the Griffith Observatory. Other trails lead from elsewhere. One can find maps from of the Griffith Park trails online.

    Path to the Hollywood Sign
After watching several videos on how to get close to the Holywood Sign, I found a path and got really close. When you are going, you will see that several streets cannot pass or park. I recommend watching some YouTube videos to understand a little better. In this place you can see the Hollywood sign up close and even take the trail to go after it, which I didn't do because it is quite long. If you want to do the trail, go at a time when the sun is not too strong and take water, it is quite extensive. Research the route well before going as there is a lot of conflicting information on the internet.

Loved the hike up, up, up!
If you like hiking, and especially like portions of steep inclines, this visit will fill your cup! We started by Mulholland. When going up, up, up, our first stop was the hill with the Memory Tree and American flag. After a rest, we journeyed over to the spot behind the Hollywood sign. We gained a total of over 1000 feet of elevation and the hike took us just over an hour (not including rests). I am so glad to have visited this iconic sign! I'm not sure that I'd do it again, but I'm so glad I did get a chance to see it up close and personal!

    Symbol for the City
This sign, that originated as an advertisement for a housing development Hollywoodland, is world recognized symbol for the city and can be seen from all over the city. I will say we tried to reach a park just under the sign for pictures, but roadwork closed access from the east side. We did get to see the original office for the Hollywoodland development. As for the sign you can also get great pictures from Griffith Observatory and Griffith Park on the hike to the top of Mount Hollywood. Please note the sign is not on Mount Hollywood but rather Mount Lee. Just on the west side of Griffith Observatory, there is a viewing platform for the sign. There is also a pair of angel's wings that is perfect for pictures with the sign between the wings. It is an amazing sign to see from all over the city.

    A must see sight
A must see for anyone visiting Los Angeles. We visited Lake Hollywood Park and took lots and lots of photos! Can park at side of road for free. Refreshments were available from a few stalls which seemed reasonably priced.

    Pretty majestic
The only nice thing to see in Hollywood. That way you can look up to the sky instead of at all of the litter and homeless on the ground. It's pretty iconic and majestic and you can get perfect views from Hollywood Highland, North Beachwood Drive and Lake Hollywood Park. I definitely suggest Lake Hollywood Park if you want a perfect shot up close where you can fit all of the letters in without them looking so far away in the distance. You'll get a bit of a view on Sunset Blvd but it may be obstructed by buildings

A Must-Visit Spot For The Hollywood Sign
When we traveled to Los Angeles, California, a must-visit spot on our list was the Hollywood Sign, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. Located on the southern slope of Mount Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains, this iconic symbol of the entertainment industry represents the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and has a rich history that reflects the evolution of Los Angeles itself. The Hollywood Sign is synonymous with the global entertainment industry. It signifies the hopes and dreams of countless individuals who come to Hollywood seeking fame and fortune. Each year, millions of tourists flock to Los Angeles to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign. It is a must-see destination for visitors looking to experience a piece of cinematic history, and we were among those. We got lost on the roads of the hill, trying to find a spot for a nice photograph that would prove we had visited the Hollywood Sign. After an hour, we found it! A nice hill with an incredible view of the Hollywood Sign as a background, within walking distance from Lake Hollywood Park. We highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to this landmark. Snap a shot here, and you will not be disappointed.

Best address /location to see Hollywood sign without hiking
Like us if you don’t want to hike then best location to visit is from “Lake Hollywood Park”. But the area neighborhood is little difficult to drive with narrow lanes so Uber is best option alike we did. If you go by your own car might need little effort to find parking spot in peak time . Time spent : 15 to 30 minutes depending upon how many clicks you want . To go there simple put “lake Hollywood park “ in google map or Uber and it takes to right spot .

    The Innsdale Trail
We chose the Innsdale Trail to see the Hollywood Sign and it turned out to be a great decision. We found free parking on Tahoe Drive, where there was plenty of space available, and from there it was just a quick 5-minute walk to the start of the trail. The trail itself was well-maintained and made for an easy, enjoyable walk. We decided not to hike all the way up to the sign, as there were plenty of great spots along the way to snap some pictures. After about 15 minutes of walking, we found ourselves with some fantastic views of the sign. The entire experience was laid-back and perfect for anyone looking for a short, scenic walk to see this iconic landmark.

    Icon, but only from afar
There are several places in the city that you can take pictures from the sign, but most from far away. It's a private place, so you can't get too close. But there are parks and trails that you can get a little closer, but you have to go by car. I used the Ovation Hollywood shopping mirror to see the sign.
