    Spectacular interior
Has to be seen to be believed. Stunning building. We booked tickets online about a month before our trip. There is no charge. The interior of the building has to be seen to be believed. The ceiling is unbelievable. We did a tour which was very informative. You can go up and look down a balcony to the library itself which is also stunning. If you are there on a Tuesday, from 10.30 to 11.30 and from 2-3 you can walk onto the floor of the library, you walk through. There is also the Thomas Jefferson Library which is contained in another area and you can see his books there. There is an information display beside that as well. It is a spectacular building and I would highly recommend it.

    Library of congress
You need free, timed tickets to get in. It’s a beautiful library with plenty of history. The reading room is only open to researchers and can only see it from the second floor. We were able to use the Children’s library and spent there about an hour.

    Fascinating history, beautiful building.
Our family loves the rich resources from the local libraries, but the Library of Congress was extraordinary. We chose not to take a tour, but wander at our leisure. Though a tour may have covered more details and history, the docets were abundant and very knowledgeable. The Gutenberg Bible was on display. I never knew several history making events that came from its making. There are opportunities to see the reading room, but they were very limited time-wise. I even got a Library of Congress library card for use and research. I look forward to taking advantage of it when I'm back in town. Even though it was spring break, we didn't wait long to get in. The process included a security check, and we needed time-holding (free) tickets, but it took little planning, and everything went smoothly. I consider this a must-see.

    It's Not Just About Books
Of course, the library's significance is important. But the building itself, how it was constructed, and the various details in the artwork tell a story about the mindset of the times. Jefferson's library is a must see, as is a walk through the actual gallery.

    Worth seeing
Great library, well worth seeing. In addition to the richly decorated rooms, there was also an interesting photo exhibition in one room. But you should reserve time tickets well in advance of your planned visit. Otherwise, you can still book remaining tickets for the day online at 8:30 a.m. There is a security and bag check at the entrance.

    Best DC building interior
The most beautiful interior out of any building I saw in DC. Really colourful and impressive. It was really annoying that I had to scan a QR code and and put in my info right before entering, but atleast there was no line. I went on a weekday so maybe that's why there wasn't many people there.

    Very nice library
We visited this beautiful library on a Thursday evening during the extended opening hours. It was worth it. We were able to enjoy the beautiful building and the exhibition of old books with fewer visitors. Really an extraordinarily beautiful facility, even if the large reading room can only be accessed from the gallery.

    Majestic
A library worthy of the United States Congress. Majestic building, profusely decorated with frescoes, containing millions of volumes, photographs and maps. There is also the Gutenberg Bible, the first book printed on a large scale in 1454. The visit is free, and tickets must be obtained in advance online.

    Don't Miss in DC
The Library of Congress areas that you actually get to see as a tourist reminded me greatly of Rome with its frescos, mosaic floors, paintings, etc. It is very elaborate. You only get to actually see the library from a windowed room above it, but it looks like an amazing place to study! Throughout the time we were there, we also got to see some exhibits on photographs and Thomas Jefferson's private library. You will need timed entry tickets, but they are free.
