We went because of the Taylor Swift scavenger hunt (now over) and were so glad we did! The market had a lovely atmosphere. We loved all of the holiday decorations. The scavenger hunt itself was fun and encouraged us to visit everywhere within the market. Many places for holiday photos. We bought some cookies and treats to take home with us. There was tons of good food and drink options; however, we had just come from brunch, so we weren't hungry. We got there early enough on a weekend that we did not have to pay an entrance fee (online it said you had to pay an entry fee after noon, but we got there around 12:30 and did not have to pay). If we lived in Toronto, we would definitely go back.

Distillery is so cheap! 2 of us paid $34 CAD just to get it! No other city in NA ( and I have been to so many) charges you just to get into the Christmas market. They get paid by all the sponsors like Shein, and they charge the vendors like crazy and they still charge entrance! you can't even get in to go to the restaurant unless you pay $16!!!

An eclectic collection of shops, distilleries, and restaurants. It’s a nice place to stroll and grab a bite. The Winter Village is a great addition. They have Christmas booths set up…which seem to be mostly food related. Check their website. The Winter Village charges admission Thursday through Sunday, but it is free on Monday through Wednesday.

Perhaps it was the cold weather or perhaps the fact that there are so many similar places across the world where old "heritage" buildings have been turned into artisinal shops. It didn't help that several shops were closed either. Still, I expect that in summer, peak period then its a nice place to stroll around.

This district east of the city centre is characterised by industrial architecture from the 19th century. The area has been declared as a historic monument. Not surprising, as it is rare to see architecture from this period so well preserved in North America. There are imposing Victorian buildings, chicly converted warehouses, lofts with high ceilings and cobbled streets full of character.

This shopping and entertainment area is built on the site of the old Godderham & Worts Distillery. Apart from the architectural significance, there is shopping, bars & coffee shops and it is one of the best Xmas Markets in the world. It is within walking distance to the Port of Toronto and Marina with bicycle and walking trails and a ferry to Toronto Island Park.

Came here on Christmas Eve, hoping it wouldn’t be crowded, and we were sorely mistaken. Quite crowded for the day before Christmas, but the holiday magic was alive and well. Worth seeing if you’re hoping to get into the holiday spirit. Just don’t wear heels, unless you’re a pro…the cobblestone path is not for the faint of heart.

Visiting the Christmas Village at the Distillery on a chilly winter night, with the temperature hovering around 4 degrees, created a magical yet brisk atmosphere filled with festive cheer. The crowd added to the excitement as families and friends explored the charming stalls. Bergo, the specialty store, was a delightful stop where you found unique items, including adorable mugs that perfectly resembled your Frenchie pet, Domino. While the grilled cheese sandwiches were a comforting choice for the whole family, they were a bit overrated compared to the other delectable offerings around. To make the evening smoother, taking an Uber was a smart move, allowing you to sidestep the usual parking and traffic hassles that come with such a popular destination during the holiday season. Overall, it sounds like a cozy and memorable outing, filled with festive fun despite the cold!

The Distillery District is busy and decorated for the Christmas season from mid November to days after Christmas. There are ongoing activities all year, and the district boasts a number of amazing restaurants [French, Mexican, Spanish], ice cream and bakeries. You can even find designer clothes. There is much to enjoy in this historic area of downtown Toronto

The Distillery District is a 20-30 minute walk from Downtown Toronto. It was historically, as its name suggests, former distillery buildings. These have now been converted into a very pleasant attraction with a number of restaurants, bars and shops. If the weather is good, there are plenty of places to sit outside. This is a good location for buying gifts, for example jewelry, candles, etc.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Toronto’s bohemian culture at Kensington Market. Restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries offering food from all over the world are interspersed with vintage thrift shops, coffee joints, tattoo parlors, bars, art galleries, and Victorian-style houses. The area is part gritty, part chaotic but it has tons of personality. The best time to visit is on Pedestrian Sundays (last Sunday of the month from May to October), when street parties and festivals are the highlights. Take public transportation to get there as parking is hard to come by. You can experience the neighborhood on a food, walking, or bike tour. – Tripadvisor
