Nice aquarium and family friendly. There are a lot of well-stocked tanks and tunnel through the main tank was a lot longer than I expected (plenty of sharks, turtles, rays, etc.). They do a few demonstrations a day, maybe every two hours. They have a lot of kid friendly tanks and activities towards the end, e.g. the tanks are shaped so that you can 'go inside' and be surrounded by the tank. There is also a touch tank for the stingrays. The other touch tank was closed when we were there. There are a couple of gift shops, and, of course, you have to exit through the gift shop. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded but not unbearable and you could see everything pretty easily. If possible, I'd recommend going on a weekday to have fewer crowds. We were there about 1.5-2 hours and that was enough. We did walk around trying to figure out which one would taste best.
We're so glad you enjoyed your visit!

After Dubai's under water Zoo, This is the best aquarium we have ever visited, and we have been to many countries. It is well-designed, The set-up and the activities made the price of admission well worth it. We will surely visit again if come to Canada

This is really the place to learn about the wide variety of marine and amphibious life in both Canada and around the world. Here you'll learn about the marine life of our rivers and lakes...and our oceans. In addition to learning, it's an opportunity to meet people from around the world, including Spanish-speaking people from Latin America. In fact Spanish is one of the official languages of Ripley's Aquarium. The aquariums only downside is the food options at the Ripley's Cafe. The food sold is a little pricey, and the food choices are limited to, for the most part, junk food. There's much room for improvement. We'd recommend that you have bought abd eaten lunch first, then visit the aquarium.

We took our two 7 year olds here on our first day in Toronto. It’s an absolute must do if you’re here with kids. They loved seeing all the fish up close, including the opportunity to see sharks and stingrays. About halfway through the museum, there’s a large, interactive water table that’s great for kids who need sensory and/or hands on time. There’s also a cafe and large play area right there. My only complaint was that it was very crowded and noisy with many different large school groups there. It was a bit overwhelming at times for my daughter who has sensory processing challenges. We bought the ticket bundle with the CN Tower which was well worth it as it’s right next door.
Hi Kelly! We recommend coming in the evenings during field trip season! We hope to SEA you soon!

If you're in Toronto, I highly recommend visiting Ripley's Aquarium. I went last weekend, and it was absolutely worth it! The underwater tunnel was my favorite part—you get to see sharks, stingrays, and all kinds of fish swimming right above you. The jellyfish exhibit was stunning too, with glowing colors that felt almost magical. I think it's great for both kids and adults. There are interactive touch tanks where you can feel a stingray or a horseshoe crab. The whole place is well-organized, and I never felt rushed. It took me about two hours to see everything properly.

One of the must see sights when visiting Toronto. Very well laid out with some great sea life. As schools were back and early in term the place was much quieter than we have ever experienced before. This made it even better to spend more time looking at all the exhibits and stroking the rays respectfully. What a great place this still is
We appreciate such an excellent review! Thanks for sharing the love for our amazing animals. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting numerous aquariums across multiple countries, and this one truly stands out as exceptional. The highlight for me was the immersive tunnel that offers close-up views of majestic sharks and graceful turtles swimming overhead and alongside. It’s an experience that brings you face-to-face with the wonders of marine life in a way that’s both thrilling and educational. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this aquarium with your family; it’s an adventure that captivates visitors of all ages.

I really enjoyed my trip to the Ripley's Aquarium. I bought the 2 for 1 ticket that gives you access to the CN Tower and Aquarium at a discounted rate. I would suggest that plan to anyone who intends to do both, as it was quite a nice savings and they're right next to each other. I did both activities back to back. The Aquarium itself is pretty big and has a lot of different areas. The only thing I felt it was lacking was some individual animal exhibits. Most of the fish were all grouped together in a few giant tanks. I was really hoping to see some Sea Lions or more exotic animals, but unfortunately they are not available to see at Ripley's. The place is very kid friendly, which is good for families, but if you're going alone or in a small group, sometimes the kids can get in the way of the sections while you're trying to focus. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I spent 2 hours inside. Thank you Ripley's Aquarium of Canada for a very good aquatic experience.
Hi there! Thanks for your review! We do not keep aquatic mammals at our facility - but focus on lots of other marine life! Hope to SEA yousoon!

Overall a really nice aquarium. We really enjoyed spending the morning there and seeing all of the different marine life. Each area was thoughtfully designed and everything was clean. All of the animals seemed well cared for. I removed a star for the check-in process. No one mentioned any information about shows, maps, basic welcome info etc. We were rudely informed that the coat check would not open until 10:30. We got there a little after 9:00. The aquarium opened at 9. Why would you open the aquarium at 9 and not open the coat check until 10:30??? It was a snow storm out so we had to carry 3 bulky winter coats around for the 3 hours we were there. Definitely took away from the experience.

A nice example of a city aquarium with roomy exhibits and some fascinating Canadian and well as global species. Lots of interactive exhibits and fun things for kids young and old. Only downside was some very rude parents not showing their children how to be polite and wait their turn but i guess the venue can not control the patrons :-(
We're so glad you enjoyed our Canadian exhibits!
