Located in Toronto, Canada, Casa Roma Castle is a luxurious castle full of European scenery and one of the locally famous historical attractions Walking into this castle is like stepping into a medieval dream world, like travelling through time and space to the luxury mansion of the European aristocracy Built between 1911 and 1914 by Canadian merchant Henry Perrell, this castle was once his private mansion and is now a popular tourist attraction in Toronto. Climb the high tower of the castle overlooking the city, stroll through the magnificent halls and secret passages and explore the legend behind this castle

Characteristic historic structure that also allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of Toronto from above. Beautiful the various rooms, the towers with the lookout and also the garden. Of course, with over $150 spent per ticket family you would expect a guide in your own language (there is only a link to the audio guide on your smartphone in English and French) but so be it. In the visit that takes at least a couple of hours you can also visit the long basements of the structure.

We travelled to Casa Loma on the hop on hop off bus which is a good way to get there, and they sold discount tickets for Casa Loma on board. This house is the most opulent and extravagant residence I have ever seen which isn’t a royal palace or the home of a member of the aristocracy. It really is incredible and definitely worth a visit. If the weather had been better, the views over the city from the towers would have been spectacular. There is an audio tour which you can get on your phone so you can learn lots about this unique house.

This was such a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend going. It is a self guided tour in which they provide a map and/or an audio guidance which you can use. It gets very packed during the afternoon which is why we did it a bit early and it was such a sight to see and learn about. They have a restaurant at the basement with basic foods (fries, sandwiches, etc) and I would recommend going early as sometimes you may not be able to sit down comfortably. Each rooms explains what it was used for and it’s like walking into history. Definitely have a go (if you want to walk a lot that is).

Our family of 5 purchased the City Pass (highly recommended to cut the costs of activities!) and went to Casa Loma while on a family vacation. We easily spent 3+ hours here walking around the grounds/castle and taking in some great views of Downtown skyline. Very fun to walk thru what amounts to a real life “Clue” board game, see actual rooms where popular movies were filmed. Highly recommended!

We had never heard about this residence until looking for things to do in Toronto. The self-guided tour was a very interesting. The house is gigantic, and the highlight is for sure the tunnel going to the garage/stables. It is hard to believe that one gentleman built such a big residence for his own use, yet his plans were bigger. Great visit, and we are so happy we decided to give it a try. We went around 10am -- bus tours stop by the house, and we imagine that it can get very crowded as the day goes on.

Casa Loma is certainly picturesque from the outside. The great stone structure is very charming. We visited in the morning on a weekday and was quite full with tour bus visitors. The interior shows how the place was used back then and explains a lot of the history of the place and its owners. The terrace gives a nice view of Toronto. Make the effort to go up the Scottish Tower for a panoramic view of Toronto, only best by CN Tower, Toronto Islands or Riverdale Park. The tunnel to the stables is also an interesting part of the visit. Alot of Toronto's history is also described throughout the tunnel and the house.

This place was awesome. It's pricey, but we feel like we got our money's worth. Leave a lot of time to explore. We were here for most of the day. There are several places where you can buy food and beverages on site. Prices were expensive, but portions were large. There are a lot of people here, so sometimes areas get logjammed. We took our time and made sure to explore everything including both towers and the underground tunnel area as well as the grounds. The view from the tower where you can go outside is quite good. I will say that they are currently setting up for their Halloween event and small children might be scared by some of that, but it's limited to the tunnel and the ground, so it's fairly easy to avoid. In my opinion, Casa Loma is a must-see when visiting Toronto.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Loved every moment at Casa Loma. I highly recommend having dinner at Casa Loma, as prices were fair with the portions and taste of the food. Top shelve all the way around

Again, with the Cityticket an absolute must. The castle is really very nice, the care and also the preservation is very well organized. For $40, it's worth the admission all times. The facilities themselves in the tower above are extremely worth seeing. You should really browse in every corner. For creeps there is an underground corridor in the basement with freak figures, genuinely to fear, but worth it. Many details are really very well taken. Even for the history buff of war events, you can gain a very good insight there. Recommended is the film about the castle owner, really very interesting. The outdoor area, really nicely designed. We walked there, from the Bay, is not old too far, and worth it, as once you get to the top, you get a nice view of the city.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Toronto’s bohemian culture at Kensington Market. Restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries offering food from all over the world are interspersed with vintage thrift shops, coffee joints, tattoo parlors, bars, art galleries, and Victorian-style houses. The area is part gritty, part chaotic but it has tons of personality. The best time to visit is on Pedestrian Sundays (last Sunday of the month from May to October), when street parties and festivals are the highlights. Take public transportation to get there as parking is hard to come by. You can experience the neighborhood on a food, walking, or bike tour. – Tripadvisor
