Located on Victoria Quay Fremantle, overlooking the Port and Indian Ocean, WA Maritime Museum is a world-class maritime tourist attraction. Visitors from across the globe come to discover the vast riches of WA’s maritime history and explore significant objects that highlight Western Australia’s cultural, scientific, and sporting heritage. This includes the winning America’s cup yacht, Australia II, Jon Sanders’ Parry Endeavour, and the hugely popular tour of the Oberon-class submarine – HMAS Ovens. International exhibitions and community programs are combined with an award-winning design and stunning location, making it a magnet for tourists and visitors since opening in 2002.

The WA Shipwrecks Museum is recognised as the foremost maritime archaeology museum in the southern hemisphere. The Museum is housed in 1850s-era Commissariat building and has since been restored to its historic glory. Steeped in history, the galleries house hundreds of relics from ships wrecked along WA’s treacherous coastline, including the original timbers from Batavia (wrecked in 1629), the de Vlamingh Dish, and also countless artefacts from the Dutch shipwrecks Zuytdorp, Zeewijk and Vergulde Draeck.

Rottnest Island Visitor Centre is located in Thomson Bay near the main jetty. Ask the helpful and friendly staff for maps and information about attractions, tours, bus services, bike hire and mooring rentals. If you are staying in Rottnest Island Authority accommodation you can check in at the Visitor Centre from 2pm daily. Please phone for opening hours and other helpful information.

The Fremantle Round House is the oldest public building in Western Australia, purpose built as a gaol (jail) when the Swan River Colony was first settled. Volunteer Guides are available to share the history of the Round House with visitors and the Round House is open from 10.30am to 3.30pm daily (except for Christmas Day and Good Friday). The cannon is fired (weather permitting) at 1.00pm every day on the Gun Deck and we welcome visitors applying to be the Honorary Gunner for the day.

Want to learn about all things brewing along with the Little Creatures story? Brewery Tours with one of our resident hop heads include learning about the brewing process and the great ingredients we use as well as the Little Creatures story. Finish with a guided tasting of the full range of beers. Brewery tours run daily at 12, 1, 2 & 3pm and Fridays at 6pm. Book on our website or drop into the brewhouse bar just before the start and sign up. Brewery Tours are $25pp and 18+ only. Duration approx. 1.5 hrs. No time for a tour? We also do self-guided tasting trays ($15) or you can drop in to the Little Creatures Great Hall for a bite to eat and beer served straight from the conditioning tanks, it doesn't get any fresher! You can also pick up a six pack or some Little Creatures swag to take home, or hire a free bike hire to explore Fremantle.
