We stayed at the Shorestop Inn from Jan 1-6, 2020 while visiting relatives in Pasuquin. We occupied 3 rooms on the second floor of their newly built addition. The rooms were clean, had hot water, WIFI and AC!!! There was a fabulous view of the Pasuquin countryside; mountains and fields where we observed the locals taking care of their fields.

This hotel was our second stop in the Philippines after the hustle and bustle of Manila. It was quiet where the rooms are located, but the hotel itself is located about a mile south of downtown Pasuquin, and the road in front is the main road to Laoag so there was plenty to observe. The hotel is also very close to the beach which is unspoiled, private and beautiful. We were picked up at Laoag International Airport and brought to the inn, where we were welcomed with a delicious meal for dinner, which we had requested since our flight arrived at 9 PM. Everyday, we were served a delicious Filipino breakfast of eggs, fried rice, pandesal, different types of meat, fruit, tea and coffee.
Oscar and Shoney, the owners who are from Canada, took great care of us, along with Jhing the Manager, Chona, and the boys who cooked, cleaned, and made us feel like celebrities. I can't thank them enough for making my family feel so welcome while visiting my hometown which I left more than 40 years ago.
I would definitely recommend staying at the Shorestop. I heard they are putting in a pool, which I can't wait to see next time we visit!

Nieves McRoberts-Lukasik My husband and I just arrived from a five week vacation from the Philippines. We stayed at the Shorestop Inn & Family Restaurant in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte. We are extremely pleased with the ambiance, our room was clean and comfortable, the foods were served hot and delicious with adequate newly harvested fruits and vegetables in season. My husband who is an American was overwhelmed with the staff attentiveness, always smiling and going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. From the bottom of my heart, I can sincerely say that this place is a second home far away from home, easy access to our basic needs, quiet and relaxing, safe and secured, we even have a night guard although it was not necessary as the area is considered one of the safest community in the entire Ilocos region where burglaries or crimes are unheard of. I also want to share that an unexpected visit of a friend of mine from Michigan arrived with five others from Pangasinan in a van ,late, lost and very hungry, also trying to find another friend's house in Pasuquin. The staff were all off for Christmas but my friends and company were accommodated, shared what was in the kitchen and all had a fun time. It was also convenient that the restaurant has a banquet hall, with a short notice, we had a family and friends reunion, another joyful celebration and get-together, while the staff were preparing foods, my family and I had more time and energy to entertain and visit with our guests. We could not have asked for more ! My husband and I enjoyed the free Wi-Fi access to check our emails and other important communications, just like in the comfort of our own home. We kept in contact with our families and friends online, even had my best friend from across the street at my house here in Michigan sent a picture of the snow in front of my driveway while we were enjoying the mid 80 degree weather and looking up at the stars at night at the bahay kubo in front of our room. Thank you everyone at Shorestop, while it's 8 degrees below zero here in Michigan, it's good to be home, back in my own bed reminiscing our days with all of you wonderful people, we miss you already and we pray that we will be able to come back very soon, God Bless All Of You, Dios unay ti Agngina kadakayo.

Shorestop Inn and Restaurant in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte is an excellent place to stay if you are visiting northern Ilocos Norte. It is located right along the main highway from Cagayan going south to Laoag. Coming from Laoag and traveling north, Shorestop is the gateway to the poblacion of Pasuquin. Coming from Cagayan going south, it is a place where to stop before you reach the busy city of Laoag City. It has all the amenities that travelers look for. The restaurant is clean and food prices are reasonable. If you decide to sleep over, the place is quiet and very relaxing surrounded by the green mountains to the east, ricefields with fresh air south and to the west is the beach. The manager and staff are very courteous and helpful. I have had occasions to sleep and dine at Shorestop and brought my visitors there who had very
positive comments about their stay. I would recommend my friends to stay there.

We are a group of 12 and stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. All personnel and staff were very accommodating and very helpful and eager to answer our queries on places to visit for vigan/laoag/Pagudpud tour.

All of us are happy with the accommodation and a very quiet place and respect guest privacy.

For my suggestion, if you don't mind, try to clean and fix the room and linen everyday. It would surely satisfying to the guests that there their rooms are clean and neat.

Stayed there for 4 nights with my family.
It's a budget bed & breakfast. The room is enough for a family of 5,with 3adults & 2kids. We are not expecting much to find a homey place but the staff are very accomodating so I guess the cons were compensated.
The bed is just ok for as I've said a budget inn. We bought our own pillows & blankets though.
The TV is a small crt and hanging with only 3 channels available, but its enough to get updated with the news.
Wow for a hot & cold shower in the middle of nowhere! 😊
If you open the aircon at 8pm, it will only work well at around 2am...maybe because the place is in the middle of a farm without big trees.
And oh! Try to close the cr lights if you're not using it coz the exhaust fan is really noisy.
Its a plus that we have our own parking so we need not worry about our car.
The wi-fi is ok outside the room.
IF we're going back there if we visit again Pasuquin, yes, it's worth the price 👍🏼

"All rooms are are A/C and are quiet facing away from the highway. There is easy access to ShoreStop Inn and restaurant from the main road. Complete privacy with a secured carport and entrance. Has free Wi-Fi and very helpful and courteous staff. Nice Bahay-Kubos (private huts) to have a snack or drink, prices for both rooms and food are very reasonable."
