Disgusting, stale smell in the room, mould on the bathroom ceiling, NO HOT WATER, paper thin walls and can hear your neighbours snoring. The only thing this place has got going for is it’s location. There was smashed plates in the car park and cigarette butts all around the entry to room and on the walk ways around the motel. Toilet seat broken, and NO HOT WATER.
Booked on expedia on behalf of a customer, and got a message saying they will cancel the booking unless agree to pay additional rate as Expedia has a wrong rate. We agreed of course because it was a few days before arrival. Personally think they should take this up with expedia and not the customer. I'd be weary booking again.
I stayed at this motel for three nights in early February. The reception staff were friendly and polite. My room was clean. I felt safe sleeping there. Good location. So close to the tram, Jewel Station and the shops. Will book again.
Wow. Very out dated. Full dirty laundry bags were piled up outdide my front door. I arrived friday afternoon abd they were still there when i left on sat. The shower caddy and toilet brush holder are rusty. The mattress covered in stains. $100 per night is too much for this dive...
A decent, centrally located and cheap place to stay in Melbourne. Opposite Royal Park for exercise/green space. The eastern rooms face west, so can get very hot in summer afternoons. The west wing rooms are likely cooler in summer. It would be nice if the rooms had ceiling fans rather than air con. I was disappointed that the exterior lights stayed on all night. I like to go outside and view the stars. There's enough light in the vicinity to see to get your key in the door late at night without needing the motel's own lights as well.
We booked in for a week and according to their website the rooms are serviced daily, we had to ask for clean linen on day three, we never saw anyone come to our room to clean, we had to empty our rubbish bins daily, we need to ask several times to top up our tea and sugar. The air con was very old and did not cool the room on very hot days and only keep it cool overnight. Our door look was very hard to open and we had to get the manager to open it and he refused to change the lock. Would never stay there again.
Horrible experience the bed is disgraceful to try and sleep on, and the next morning went to have a shower the water was cold, left at 5.45am just wanted to get back home, which is a 2 hour drive. I have never had a horrible time at a motel.
Good tucked away spot close to everything you need. Clean welcoming rooms feels right at home in a busy place. The ovals and train line and city scape out the front make it a lovely place to stay and feel rested.
Was clean and comfortable. Close to transport. Was very small, old, very budget, absolutely no frills. I had to ask for cutlery! Didn’t have enough toilet paper. I’ve paid $15 more elsewhere that was closer to the city and it was an absolute palace, compared to here. It was three times as big, free Foxtel, so many other luxuries/extras, so I was expecting a lot more.
good location and value, this is our second time here. Fast check-in, Quiet for Melbourne, comfortable, good wifi, free parking outside the door, one small window that can be opened, everything we needed.
